shawn kemp. my dick jumped when we got him. my friend who didnt grow up with tv was like who the fuck is shawn kemp. and im like are you fucking serious? we watched youtube vids and beat off. then he shows up a fat coke head.

Isnt that Nedzad Sinnovic? He's probably up there with Peter Kop, Deibler and that guy from Gonzaga they had for a while (not dickau, the other guy) on the pantheon of overrated.

Thank you, that's his name. All those stashed Euros were overrated.

Good ol Nedzad. I remember Chad Ford said we had a huge steal on our hands.

Too bad there isn't a video of this on Youtube. I would have paid to see it:

"And as the players usually do at the end of a workout, that particular Friday the two were shooting free throws together in silence.

Peaceful enough.

That is, until Sinanovic made his final free throw, then retrieved the basketball and held it. Ha walked over and snatched it back. Then, Sinanovic said something under his breath and two men -- 7-4 and 7-3 -- ended up on the ground in a pile of wildly swinging elbows and fists.

The fight was broken up by Blazers staffers, and insiders said Ha, who got punched, was left shouting, "I'll sue! I'll sue!"

The two were escorted to different areas of the practice facility, and normally the story would end here. Except Ha's neutral corner was the team weight room. And so he picked up one of those wooden poles that players use to stretch and went after Sinanovic, who blocked one swing with his forearm but took another in the ribs before someone ripped the pole (think: closet dowel) from Ha's hands and threw it across the courts."

Evidently, this one gang in NE Portland kept wanting Ha to join 'cause he's pretty good with a bo staff.

Ha and Nedzad...... both Chad Ford busts.

Which makes Bob Whitsitt the most overrated Blazer of all time for choosing the fat, coke head over BGrant. He wouldn't pay Grant what he wanted, but gave Kemp even more. Hey, donuts, hookers and coke ain't cheap, at least not when you consume all three in copious amounts.

Grant was what he was...... I think Bob was rolling the dice that a change of scenery would bring back the old Kemp...... but it didn't.

Can you imagine if it did though?

He was my sister's fav player of all time. I thought he was good too but he was, by modern statistical measures, not very good at all.
I never thought Duck was that good. Took a bit of crap for it too, LOL. He got owned by Detroit. Great guy though. Loved him on the team. Life long Blazer.

Don't forget the Russians. They were supposed to be the future. Khryapa and Monia. haha I thought they were gonna both be dope as fuck.

I think of that every time I am reminded of Sinanovic.

I wish I could rep you again for the Napolean Dynamite reference. ROFL

Frahm or Stache?

Roy played some of the worst defense i have ever seen. Especially towards the end of his time with us. It was like he was lettimg his guy get right past him and not giving a fuck. And that is saying something when you're a blazer fan.

Hard to say most overrated. Rudy was pretty overrated when we all watched hin in the olympics. "The spanish mj"

Grant was the heart of that team. Kemp was the stomach.

No, I can't imagine that.

Look anything like this:

Jeezus, did Whitsitt not own a television, or at least a bathroom scale?

Nope, this is what we got:

When your game depends on freakish athleticism, gaining 125 lbs. probably isn't a good plan. When you're a GM trying to build a championship team, giving that guy $71 million for 4 years in 2000-01, when the salary cap was $35.5 million was an even worse idea.

Scottie Pippen.

Single-handedly destroyed team chemistry on the second most talented Blazers team ever constructed.

2 more titles had we never signed him.

Plumlee is like Przybilla, Lopez, and Duckworth...key player for us, but Plumlee won't be as good for other teams, so will be downgraded here in a few years.

Roy is like Sabonis...14 years after he left, Sabonis has been here once, despite several trips to the U.S.

Yeah, how dare Scottie throw a towel in Sabonis' face on national TV causing Sabas to retire for a year. What a fucking cancer!

I'm gonna get Flack for this but I don't care. This forum overrates the SHIT out of Joel Przybilla.
Joel had the top rebounding percentage in the league, and was a very good rim protector. But he was terrible on offense, but I think Blazer fans know what he was, very good defender, crap on offense.

I see what you did there....and I approve.

I don't know, I think Pippen only cost them one championship. Two seems like an exaggeration.

Sabonis didn't leave because of the towel. Sissies who have never had towels thrown in their faces have been making a big deal out of that ever since.
