Mr. Mac back to his old tricks

Nate is simply not a very good manager of the game. he is a poor X's and O's coach as well. People always seem to point to us being so good out of timeouts, but most of the time it's because Roy makes a very good play, not because Nate drew up some amazing basketball play.

Nate is, for all intents and purposes, an Assclown. I realized it the day he was hired, and now others are seeing it too.

Last season, many, including myself would tell you to go fuck yourself and you have no idea about the game. This year, including myself, are really starting to question Nate's ability to coach a team with a ton of talent.

Wait...back with that group? Is he hinting that Andre won't be long for the starting 5?

Seriously?? Eesh..

I do not think this is where it is going. I think Andre will start, play 6 minutes with the starters, get out for Rudy. Come back and play most of the 2nd quarter with the 2nd unit and LMA in a fast-pace unit, and the rest of the game he will play with whatever unit seems to be working for them.

He is playing around 30 minutes per game right now. There is no reason to expect at least 12-15 of those to be as the leader of a fast-pace unit.

A lot of people still tell me I have no idea about the game, so it's all good.

Ouch .. . so no hope of transfering.

Guess your stuck with OSU on your diploma . . . maybe employers won't ask where you got your degree. :D

Maybe im already employed at one of the most prestigious companies in Portland Area....

This is obviously sarcasm by RoyToy....your obviously not smart enough to realize that :biglaugh:

My favorite of all internet insult blunders. Telling another poster that they aren't smart while simultaneously making a grammatical error that my first-grader wouldn't miss. Such basic irony, but it makes me laugh every single time.

I take this forum so seriously that i make sure I check my spelling before posting because that is what makes me intelligent...

Coming from you, im not suprised, as ive seen you have done this nit-picking frequently in the past (last night) to other posters

Yeah, as I said, when I see a poster insulting the intellect of another poster, yet they make a grade-school blunder in that insult, it gets me every time.

Carry on ...

Back to the OP, am I misreading Nate's quote by understanding it to mean that he's planning on removing Miller from the starting lineup so that the bench-heavy lineup that blew a 20-point lead in the 4th (in which Miller was in for over 10 minutes) would be better with Miller's presence? He was already a part of it?

I have yet to see Webster play a poor game when he starts. I have yet to see him play a good game when he doesn't. Maybe that is totally his problem, but I don't see why starting both Blake and Miller and shifting Roy to SF for a large amount of minutes is a good thing for this team when Webster's shown that he can play energetic, aggressive D and give you a mediocre PER on offense for 30 minutes a game if allowed to.

With the 3-guard lineup, the following players are being (imo) "mis-used" somehow:
Miller--not the best halfcourt PG when not directing it himself. Is he a good use of 29mpg right now?
Blake--not a SG, but a good "spacing" guard when his shooting is on. Is he a good use of 30mpg right now?
Roy--after dropping the weight, not sure that defending SFs is good for us or him
Webster--seems to suck off the bench, mediocre offense is better when starting, is the closest thing we have to a good defender right now and it's being wasted on scrub 2's and 3's in 12 minutes per game.
Rudy--if anyone's going to play the "3pt spacing guard with handles" in the 3-guard offense, I don't know why it wouldn't be Rudy. But whatever.

I find it more humorous that you're bagging on an OSU degree while butchering basic words. People in glass houses shouldn't cast stones you know.

If you have ever seen Dimitri Martin you would know that is incorrect.

ONLY people in glass houses should throw stones

How in the hell do you get experience if no one ever gives you the chance? I've never been a fan of Bayless, and I didn't like what I saw of him in summer league. But the kid has worked hard, kept his mouth shut, and put forth a decent effort in the time he has been given this season. Keep fucking with him and he will never develop. Give him some regular PT and let him get a chance to get comfortable. He has earned that much. If he doesn't meet expectations, then trade him. Shit or get off the pot Nate.
