Politics Mueller indicts 13 Russian nationals for US election meddling

It's trivial to get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich.

They still have to prove there was a crime committed.

One obvious possibility

One obvious possibility does not mean that is the only crime that is being investigated.

Here, let me show you what Mueller's mandate is again since you still seem to be confused.

You have a problem reading english, apparently.

I'm done with your silly trolling.

Wow! That order 35-15 is a flawed piece of work.

The assistant AG is not charged with conducting international relations. The President is. It makes no sense at all to do this work with respect to any country as a legal item. Unless that is determined to be the most wise course, and the assistant AG alone is not the man to make that call.
He should be fired for assuming this role.

Actually you're the one who has demonstrated many times in this thread that you are very confused.

This is an indictment for crimes that took place inside the United States. This has nothing to do with "conducting international relations". Also Rosenstein very clearly cleared the Trump campaign in his press conference today. Not sure why you would fire him for that.

"conducting international relations"

Of course it is International Relations! And if Russian actually intend as a nation to interfere with our elections, then the appropriate action plan should be implemented. That unlikely includes a special counsel, nor any other willy nilly loose cannon work. It is doubtful that informing your enemy, (if we have one) what you know and plan to do, prior to execution is a wise course of action.

That's what Denny Nunes said too, but I'm quite happy with these indictments. Why wouldn't I be?

You got your scalps, eh? Not the ones you wanted. Boo f'n hoo.

You should speak to your President about that, it doesn't seem he's on board.

More bad news. Obstruction of justice? It's something someone's smoking, not reality.

Comey farewell: ‘A president can fire an FBI director for any reason’
Former FBI Director James Comey on Wednesday sent a letter to agents and friends following President Trump firing him the previous day.

“I have long believed that a President can fire an FBI director for any reason, or for no reason at all,”he wrote, according to CNN. "I’m not going to spend time on the decision or the way it was executed."

How is that even news, much less bad news? That's from almost a year ago.

Wait, so if a foreign government is committing crimes in the United States we shouldn't do anything about it because that will let them know that we know they are committing crimes?

Sense.Perfect.Makes.

Actually, you or I or anyone else have anyway to know.

True. He could be secretly taking countermeasures, while publicly praising Russia, refusing to implement sanctions, and not asking any of his department heads to take any action. Fiendishly clever, that Trump! They'll never see it coming.

I would fire his ass for over stepping his role as assistant AG.

So the AG shouldn't oversee the investigation of crimes if those crimes are committed by a foreign government inside of the United States?

Again.Sense.Perfect.Makes.

I am pleased you agree. It depends on what the action plan is, doesn't it.

Again, you have no way to know.

Whining in public about some devious Russians sure isn't all that satisfying. Probably ineffective too.

After today's indictment if you want to say that there is no proof that Trump benefited from Russian meddling, I would agree with that.

But saying that Russian meddling isn't a crime that should be investigated and that anyone who is investigating it should be fired just seems odd to me.

Your pal, Bannon, was interviewed about firing Comey. It's hard to see any crime there, let alone obstruction of justice like I see claimed by the usual suspects.

Didn't you just a few minutes ago in the other thread claim it was my 'imagination' that Bannon even talked to Mueller?

No. It is your imagination running wild that anything is going to come of it.
