Aw, good choice as i had all their early albuums and got to see them in concert also at the old Paramount. I also had a custom show van i built which had a mural of a Uriah Heep album cover on the back doors.

HolY crap !...I thought I was the only Uriah Heep fan...I bet at one time, I had every one of their albums. I listened to "Demons and Wizards & "Magicians Birthday" probably a 100 times and I'm pretty sure the same artist did both album covers.

Not sure if you're aware of it or not but their keyboard player, Ken Hensley, who wrote most of their stuff, put out what I thought was a VERY good solo album back in the 70's..."Proud Words On A Dusty Shelf"...I really liked it, but then again, I was biased.
But you really should check it out...it's much more subdued and laid back as compared to Uriah Heep's "in your face" rock.

Yep. I have listened to some of Hensley's solo stuff. In their hey day and when I saw them at the Paramount David Byron was the lead vocalist as that guy had some range. I was also a huge Deep Purple fan and Heep was very similar with Hensley and Box mirroring the Lord/Blackmore combo with Byron being similar in range as Ian Gillian. Good stuff.
