I've been rediscovering Cousteau this past week. I think they put out two albums and then just disappeared into the ether.

I've been listening to Bloc Party's older stuff recently. Check 'em out if your like the English-vibe Indie Rock (which I'm not usually a fan of, but this is some good shit)...

I've been in a weird mood lately. I usually never listen to rap, and haven't really since early this decade. But have been listening to some recently. I've been listening to a lot of Eminem, mainly pre 2002 with his good albums. Don't like a lot of the songs he has come out with recently, edit - so here is an older one w/ Dre I really like (explicit)

And of course hellbound with Em and Masta Ace

This isn't new, it's from the 1980s, but I've been addicted to this Husker Du song recently:

Emery "Cutthroat Collapse"

A song that defines a genre

Ain't no color paint gonna cover the stains
The pictures on the wall will all remain
And even though he's home now sounding safe
Surrounded by the faces that he placed his faith
The images visit from the past he witnessed
Can't stay away from the memories, sticks with
each detail embedded in stone
like he chiseled those convictions into his bones
the progress stops and pauses spits and sputters
like the basement faucets
and it's obvious he's lost in his regrets,
you can smell it on his breath

Don't take this the wrong way but that was atrocious. :smack:

I too was amazed at some of the reallllllllllllllllllllllllllly bad stuff some people post on youtube.

This guy has quite a few others, all instructional, and seems to be seriously unaware of his playing ineptitude.

In defense of his goal, he's musically correct in his instruction, but loses credibility (and listeners I assume) by teaching that which he has yet to learn how to perform.

Those who can't, teach? :dunno:
