Noel and those high flying birds. Arcade fire

Not big on Arcade Fire, but Noel's High Flying Birds brings back some of that old Oasis sound...very good...

Good song...could have done without the video...

I posted this in the gay marriage/parenthood thread, but I think it should go here. My friends in Seattle have been telling me about Macklemore for a while now, but I hadn't checked him out until a couple of months ago. 100% independent album debuted at #2 on the Billboard charts, not bad.

Also on the album.

No problem...though I'm now confused. Sebastian?

Also, anyone else having issues with the videos? I can watch fine on youtube, but these embedded ones (both of mine plus the one posted by Blaze01) have no sound for me.

***seems to be a Safari issue. The videos all seem to work fine in Chrome.
Never mind, quitting and reopening Safari fixed the 'issue'.

i'm sure it's exceptional if you're into jazz/old jethro tull. not my thing.

i feel the dark is ok.

Fair point; I do love both jazz and Tull. Though a love of Rainbow is also good to have for that album.

Aaron Lewis (Staind) went country and it's not bad at all!

For some strange reason, you kinda remind me of someone else in here who also went by the name Express. :)

Oh yeah, I remember him. Can't remember what he was like though...so I'll just assume this is a compliment...

Lovin ya'lls local content. Let me share a little from the Big Easy -

Dee-1 is one of the best rappers I've come across, and I'm surprised he hasn't blown up. For a former elementary school teacher turned rapper, you'd assume he was a lame as a late 90's Will Smith or something, but he's about as real as they come in New Orleans, and all of the New Orleans legends (from Wayne to Mannie) recognize how talented he is. I've gotten to kick it with Dee-1 a few times, and he's the real deal. The fact that nobody outside of NOLA knows about Dee-1 though shakes my faith in the rap industry.

I used to play DnD with the lead singer's younger brother. True story.

Nice sig by the way. Surprised we haven't seen you saying that kind of stupid shit in our political arguments :D

Lol. Believe it or not I have my strong political beliefs, but I'm not out to change anyones own mindset. I did read the numerous threads and got some good laughs. I visit sports forums because of a shared love of a certain team and my desire to talk with other like minded people. Getting back to the music.....I love this band. Great music. We are lucky as Portland has some very good bands to see.

That's one of my all-time favorite videos. Haven't heard that one in a minute! Good stuff man...

Has anyone ever heard of these guys (Wild Belle)? I caught them on Conan the other night and kept rewinding to try to figure out why they sounded so familiar. I still can't put my finger on it. I can hear some "Soul Rebel" by Bob Marley in the song, but the sax riff, in particular, is taken straight from something, just not sure what...
