You already know its time for some more of that underground hip hop.

Pete and CL dropped this shit in '98. I know its just some random coincidence, but its still crazy considering how many NBA references Pete Rock puts in his songs.

Anyways, I recommend listening to it all, cause its dope. But at least check out the hook starting at 1:05

Been listening to one of my older youtube playlists. Feelin a lot of these songs that I hadn't heard in a while!

Listened to this song recently. It's one of the great pop songs of the 80's. And I know a lot of friends that have lived it....

Been on a 9th wonder kick. Dude mixes up a nice hip hop beat. Been listening to a lot of Little Brother and some of his collaborations with Murs and Buckshot.

Speaking of top notch producers. Don't think I've heard a Pete Rock beat that isn't dope.

Just some classic Mecca and the soul brother. Video is legit too, back when the good music videos were works of art just like the song.

As always lyrics on point. 2:10 into the video:
"So feel the beat in Three-Peat like Jordan got wings
Cause I'm doing them things, listen"

Man the Stones have put out some crap,
But when they had Mick Taylor in the band, they could really hit a groove!

Powerful version of the old Simon and Garfunkel "Sounds of Silence" tune:

I have "The Minstrel Boy" stuck in my head by Charlie Zahm (his version).

Speaking of Minstrel boy, how about some more classic 9th wonder. This time from when he was with Little Brother off of their album The Minstrel Show.

Jerry Butler sample on point.

"What ever goes around, comes around. Every lifetime is a lesson, this is what I've found. No matter who you are, gonna have your ups and downs. What ever goes around, comes around."

Been getting reacquainted with the Scandalous album by Black Joe Lewis and The Honeybears. A totally underrated band....

Yeah. Been wanting to see them for a while. Bought their first two albums and was like, "why aren't these guys more popular???"

I understand that we are all unique and not every genre of music speaks to us. But these lyrics in the intro are real, and there's no denying that.

Yo, just relax, take it easy slow down
I had this, I had this friend of mine
Who just, you know, he was moving too fast, you known I'm saying?
I told him to slow down, he said the sun don't chill
I said, I said still, I said still, you gotta
Just appreciate life, sit back, don't let it fly right past you

My favorite Bowie song with Mick on guitar. May they be jamming with Lou in heaven.
