My first Render

Bit ropey around his head and arms. What tools did you use?

yea his head didnt cut out that good but if you put it into a normal size sig you wouldnt notice it at all

I used extract and the polygonal lasso tool, Aaron also I didnt notice that when I was cutting it.

Use the magnetic lasso to get the rough shape then use the freehand lasso tool to get the detail right. You can also use the shape lasso to get the roundness of peoples heads etc accurately.

Right click the rectangle selection marquee and it'll give you the option of using a cirlce instead of a rectangle.

theres a few blotchy bits near his hand and its a bit rough around his arms and head.. what you could do is get a light green and then make it the pencil and just go around him and fill in all the gaps around him and then get the magic wand on the green bit and delete it and its all gone.. thats what i do

It's alright, but you said you didn't notice that his head and arms were like that when you were cutting it, so maybe put the background as a bright colour that's not on the picture (like a bright green or yellow) and you'll be able to notice things easier.

its not too bad. Its just the head. Use the pen tool wen selecting the head. its a lot easier.

Im kack with the pen tool mate, I think its decent for my first try, I will try another cut soon and post it, hopefully I can see the patches and fix them
