I've got feeling this guy is gonna get paid next summer, at least get a raise. Boki's always been a professional so I'm not worried now, but I could see his status on the team being tenuous at the end of the season especially with Magloire's status.</p>

He'll get a 4-5 year MLE minimum this summer, barring injury.</p>

We've been lucky to not have any of those out spoken players that talk about the money they want. Very classy.</p>

Plus Boki is just saying he doesn't want to talk about it. Mikki said he'd take less money to stay...and then took more money to leave. Who knows at this point.</p>

He'll be back. Other things will change. And if Ratners' project survives the critics lawsuits, which looks increasingly likely, the Nets will have money to spend. This will of course depend on how well they do. If they collapse, the Nets will rebuild on the fly and who knows what will happen.</p>

Next season, and nextseason only, is crunchtime. Making financial decisions for one year would not be prudent. Pay the tax one year.</p>

I don't like how the upcoming seasons hinge on THAT. That makes me feel really uncomfortable about this team and its ownership.</p>

He may want to stay, but if another team offers him a good amount of money more...he's gone.</p>

Boki's been great, but he plays the same position as RJ, and at a certain point it becomes silly to be spending more than a max contract for just the SF position.</p>

Now, if RJ can move to 2-guard, then suddenly things are a bit more interesting...</p>

It's too early to tell. I think if we win alot of games and go far, and we still have a solid team going into next season, he'll (hopefully) stay. Hell, I'd love for him to stay, he's probably my favorite bench player we have. But, it's just too early to tell. So for what it's worth, let's enjoy his prescense on the team as much as we can this year.

That's actually what I'm thinking. If Nachbar has a great season it's possible that we're looking at another Mikki scenario. If another decent team offers him more money, then it's likely that he will join them, rather than play for less money. It's business.</p>
