I hate to admit it, but I freaking loved that movie. The entire "Billy Mack" vignette was hilarious. “Hiya kids. Here is an important message from your Uncle Bill. Don't buy drugs. Become a pop star, and they give you them for free.”

Yeah, when the movie began, I thought the aging pop star thing was going to be very bad. But they did a great job of it, very funny. Is it just me, or does he seem to be based quite a lot on the aged version of Iggy Pop?

Tropic Thunder last night. I thought it was (of course) stupid but funny.

Favorite part of the experience? At the end when someone behind us asked his friend, "That was Tom Cruise?"

I'm a huge 40's, 50's, 60's and some 70's classic horror and Sci-Fi. I love the 50's Sci-Fi movies the best and seen almost all of them. I'm old and grew up watching those movies first and second run in the theater. I also like the new horror and Sci-Fi/Superhero movies but not anywhere near the 40's-60's classics.

I bought a Vincent Price Legends collection from Costco and the last movies I watched were Dr. Philes and Dr. Philes rises again.

I just watched Black Hawk Down for the first time. I feel as though it was a bit over-rated, but still a high marking war movie.

Just kidding. I think the last movie I saw was Tropic Thunder, which was -- as Ed O says -- stupid but highly enjoyable. Tom Cruise really was amazing in that movie.

Half a dozen episodes of "Rumpole of the Bailey" over the last couple of days.

Before that, X-Files season 1 (the special features are LAME!)

The last movie was Semi-Pro, half of which I really liked, a third of which was okay, and a sixth of which made even me say to myself, "damn, that was a stupid joke!"

My next three movies (the DVDs arrived today, I'll watch them some time this week)? "The Big Sleep," "Dragonlance - Dragons of Autumn Twilight (animated)," and "Caddyshack."

+>Vincent Price ...Tops in the field. Christopher Lee for the B grade movies. Boris Karloff when you want to throw the DVD against the wall for fun. The debris is scattered amoung remnants of Plan B from outer space. All Japanese horror monster movies are cheesy.
