wow a little contraversial. No offense to Black people Of course but why do/did you find that word so offensive but now most Rappers say it in their lyrics?

I heard Nas was not allowed to use that title and was ordered to change it.
I Guess not? Does anyone have an official source?

Oh yeah, I saw this the other day.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigger_(album)

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>L.A. Reid, chairman of Def Jam Records, has confirmed that Def Jam fully backs Nas and his decision on naming his album.[9] The album's title has received support from Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, LL Cool J, Rev Run, Common, Akon, Method Man, Lupe Fiasco, David Banner, and others. 50 Cent criticized Nas's choice of name for the album saying Nas is just going for "shock value" with the controversial album name.[10]</div>

50 Cent's a punk bitch. I support the album name. He's trying to make a statement and get people to notice...and I hope they do.

2 new songs:
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>* "The Fear (Of a Black Man's D***)"
* "You a Nigger Too"</div>

Nas is crazy, haha. He's one of the few artists with enough balls to do somethin like this.

I agree with what he's doing. Sure, there's a better an more educated way to approach the issue but Nas is hardheaded as is. He always has been. Dope ass cover too.

Can't wait for it to hit shelves. The experience of bringing that album to the register is gonna be fun.

it is???

LOL I'm gonna order it off the internet LOL!

If it's released with that cover they'll probably keep the CDs behind the counter and out of the public eye.

I'll go to Best Buy..."Oh hi, do you have that new N***** album?" Nope, not happening for a white guy like me.

One of the tracks is something along the lines of "Fear of a Black Man's Dick".

Should be interesting. I think he'll come hard on it (no homo).

If he's stirring up all this controversy and the album is wack, it will tarnish his credibility.

I just can't. That is extremely hilarious.

Nas, the edumacated rapper.

That actually sounds like it could be very racist, towards non-blacks.

Sounds arrogant to me....

make an impact with lyrics in the songs, not the name titles or album titles, c'mon

I'll be downloading this off Limewi....Itunes when it comes out

It's going to be hard to buy if they don't have it on shelves. Like Kidd said, I don't really want to ask for it. I'll get one of my friends to do it or I'll ask for the new Nas album.

lol they probably won't even sell it in England. I'll just go into HMV and say, "Excuse me can i have a copy of N****R"

I'm a bit skeptical. Everyone thought he was ready to shake the music industry with "Hip Hops is Dead," but I didn't find anything groundbreaking with that album. If anything, all that trash-talk and hype that it generated led me to believe he was just picking a sensitive issue because it was guaranteed album sales.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Master Shake @ Jan 9 2008, 03:38 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Maybe I'll just write it down and hand it to the cashier.</div>
lol, it's really not that serious. Just say: "I would like to purchase Nas' newest album." Or just say "I would like to buy Nigger."

I actually really enjoyed Hip-Hop Is Dead and thought it was a really good bounce back album from Streets Disciple. Now with Nas' new album its really going to give me a morale dilema when attempting to purchase this at the counter if its not on the shelves, ahaahah oh well anyone know when the release date is?

It's supposed to be on black history month. Why not just order it off the internet, or something?

Personally, I think this is the perfect time for the NY City Council to enforce that ban they put in place. Imagine undercover cops waiting for people to ask for that album at every HMV.

Only the ghetto white folks will actually walk in the store to buy this one. The rest will order online or just download.

Honestly nobody would probably tell me nothing, but I just want to order it online.

Whens the U.S Release because I'll download it within a week of release

You mean the way rappers have been doing for years?

Artists, including Nas, have been there, done that. Why not try somethin different..?

Haha...yeah, right. I'm goin to the store to buy this one. What's there to be scared of? Besides, it'll probably be a white person behind the counter.
