Nate = Fail

Not until the Anchors that are McMillan and Roy are removed, will we once again be free to progress as a team.

I'm Just so over watching EVERY other team we play, exhibit so much more class and know-how.
This team has some good players, but they'll never be great whilst the shackles of McMillan are upon them.

What do you think McMillan would say about his own work in this year's playoffs so far, out of curiosity?

I think overall, Nate would publicly take the blame for the shortcomings of this team. I can't think of any coaches who come out during or after a series where their team wasn't successful and says "I put together the perfect game-plan, but my team isn't talent enough to execute."

Nate is an imperfect coach, coaching imperfect players.

Check out a Dallas message board after we beat them the last two times in Dallas. There are a ton of people talking about how Dallas has so much talent, but Portland has a better coach. They rag on play calling, rotations, and predictability.

Even Laker and Spurs fans think their coach is predictable, stubborn, and makes tons of mistakes.

Do you recall what it was like before Nate? Class and know-how certainly weren't terms used to describe those teams.

Matthews played terrible. I didn't bitch about it during the game, but he's underperforming.

You've bitched about Miller during games several times and trash people when they do the same. You're a hypocrite.

Two of the three people most responsible for the Blazers not being a laughingstock anymore now need to go? The third was fired last summer.

Bert Kolde, is that you?

Some of you same people wanted to trade LMA last summer and called him soft and worthless. Funny how pretty much all of those people are now slobbering all over LMA.

I stopped doing it, which doesn't make me a hypocrite. It makes me an agent of change, calling on others to make a similar change. I owned up to my constant negative game thread posts long ago, and stopped doing it. Sorry if that upsets you, KingSpeed.

If there is one thing Dallas Mavericks fans know it's the inner workings of the Portland Trailblazers

Nate was completely outcoached. I mean bringing in a "wet behind the ears" Mills before Roy? Wow man! Good way to try and help your superstar build his confidence by letting Rudy, Batum, and Mills come in before you. Whatever the reason, Nate was a terrible coach last night. I thought he did well in game 1 though.

Yep. Plus, Nate left Matthews in waaayyyy too long in the 4th quarter.

One simple question for the Nate defenders:

The Mavs are not a particularly good defensive team - but they have somehow completely shut down the Blazer offense. Do you really believe coaching/game plan have nothing to do with that?

Do you think this is an offensively talented team? We have 1 play-maker who can't shoot, and only 2 big guys, one of which can't post up at all. I agree the gameplan has something to do with it. Talent and execution are other factors also play a part.

I agree. The players have to take their share of the blame. I just don't believe that Nate's offense is getting the most out of this roster.

Seriously, two years in a row the Blazers continually leave the guy that is on fire WIDE open. Last year it was Jason Richardson, this year it's Jason Kidd and Peja.

There is no way in hell Jerry Sloan would have stood there and watched Wesley Matthews continually leave Jason Kidd wide open. However Nate McMillan did.

This man gets it! It's the exact same crap as last year with Richardson. I had to leave my house last night cause I could not stand watching Peja wide open over and over and over and over again. IT'S SICKENING! hello nate???? anyone home? You still don't know how to get threw screens? STILL? BUELLER? BUELLER?

And as far as Nate failing, I feel like so far this series is a Rich Cho fail. This is a very physical series and i don't think Miller can play forty minutes, he looked tired to me in the 2nd half. Where is Bayless? Where is a strong defensive, shotblocking rebounding center; camby is showing his age, anyway one guy isn't enough?

Really? Really? Dallas is the softest dam team in the league! A jump shooting bunch of softies.

I would tend to agree Nate's offense probably isn't getting the most out of this roster. I'm having a hard time figuring out what type of offense would be best geared toward this group.

Don't blame the messenger for the message! Nate got spanked AGAIN by a superior coach! The playoffs are about execution on both ends and coaching. Nate is a chump hiding behind raw non Nate coached talent. Without Wallace this team would be an 8 seed! Nate didn't coach Wallace into a star, rather he rode his coat tails!!! Nate is clueless as are all the people who think Roy will come back to allstar form!!!! 1 on 5 offensive clearouts and people wonder why we lost. No offensive rotation and no defense again. JJ Barea 5"9 and 36 year old Kidd bitch slapped this team!!This is where coaches just as much as players shine!!! One and Done = Nate! Next!!!!

Report card in..... Nate is a bust. Deal with it!!

Hey Yardape, where are you buddy? It's a pretty exciting night for Blazer fans but how come you don't ever post when we win or do something good? Your chronic use of exclamation marks would really add to the excitement around here right now so can you please make a cameo?

We need more HA's and more !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some people only get joy out of trying to point out the imperfections of others.

Not sure who that was directed to but in this case - I'm totally guilty and fine with it!

Wasn't directed at you. You make plenty of positive posts around here to balance out the critical ones. Its directed at the people who almost solely complain.
