He'll be a guest on Crapzano's show.

He spent a lot of time talking about his game-day routine: up at 6:30, in the office at 8, coaches' meeting from 9-10, present gameplan to players at 10:00 shootaround, go back to house/hotel for lunch & nap...

Also talked a little bit about Miller in the backcourt with Brandon, Rudy, and Bayless (I find it odd that Bayless is the only guard to whom he referred by surname). Basically said that Miller can play with anybody because he's just so damn smart.

I don't see how that is odd. Some players/people you just call by their surname. Almost everyone in here refers to Rudy as Rudy and Bayless as Bayless.

He also called Miller and Roy "Andre" and "Brandon", and I hear nobody do that, except him. If you don't see it as odd that the coach refers to all of the guards by their first names except for one, well then I guess we'll just differ there.

Maybe it's Jerryd's preference? I know guys who go by their last name.

I hear people call them "Andre" and "Brandon". At the game on Tuesday, me and my buddy had a specific conversation about how Bayless is the only person is seems weird to call them by or hear them called by their first name. I just don't see the significance that you seem to see.. Agree to disagree though, fair enough.

Well, he didn't tattoo Jerryd on his back, despite jersey references. He could have done it that way if he wanted people to remember him as Jerryd.

Odd that he called Bayless, Bayless?!??!? Some of you find the weirdest things to complain about!!!

He wants everyone to feel comfortable with the team, so he calls them by their first names, except Bayless.

He's trying to get fans to distance themselves from Bayless. Obviously, as a precursor to a trade. Read the handwriting on the wall.... Deal Coming Soon, Baby! :biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh:

I've noticed him do this with Blake in the past as well. Same scenario, except Bayless wasn't mentioned and Blake was the only one referred to by last name.

That's awesome to hear. It's beginning to sound like he may be starting (which I really hope is the case).

Sounds to me like Nate is setting himself up a nice defense for starting Blake. Miller can play with anyone, but Steve needs to play with Brandon.....

I guess I didn't look at it that way, but now that you mention that, I can read it that way, too. Hopefully you're wrong.

If this is the case, it still isn't a defense for starting Blake.

If you have a player so limited they can only be a part of a couple of line-ups, why in the fuck are they playing at all?

Cut the rotation down to Miller/Roy/Rudy and have done with it.

Well at least he didn't refer to Bayless as "Fuckhead". :tsktsk:

With our depth, I think you go to the 3 man rotation about 70 games into the season. Until then, I'd go
3-man +scraps for Blake.

You know what I was thinking? If he starts Miller in a preseason game do you think Blake will intentionally play bad coming off the bench? :)

When pigs fly, no, not even then.

Blake walks his talk, he's all about the team and winning games.
