What a difference a letter can make.

The NBA on Tuesday will announce a renaming of its Development League, with the "D-League" set to be known as the "G-League" starting in the 2017-18 season because of a multiyear partnership with Gatorade. This marks the first time a U.S. professional sports league has named an entitlement partner.

If they want a strong farm league, they need to follow what MLB does and have farm teams for each team.

Sounds like they're headed in that direction. I think there will be more teams with one G-League team next year than not. Unfortunately it doesn't sound like the Trail Blazers will be one of them.

Are they gonna have G league divisions or team names based on flavors? Like Lemon Lime, Glacier Freeze, Cool Blue, Fierce Grape, etc.

And if you don't cut it in the G-League there is always the P-League (Powerade League)
