OT NBA Finally Ready To Make Rule Change On Hack-A-Player

10 years ago, the League Office considered this change because Shaq played in Los Angeles. Now, the League Office is reconsidering this change because DeAndre Jordan plays in Los Angeles. I guarantee that the league would never consider this change because of a Blazer player.

Yes, I'm sure Adam Silver stays up nights plotting how to protect face of the league DeAndre Jordan.

So the concept is all new to you...that Los Angeles is the 2nd-biggest market, where half the referees live, one of 2 major media centers in the country, etc.

This must be your first week as an NBA fan. Yes, Silver considers the good of Clipper players ahead of that of other players.

Third-best player on the second-most important team in the second-biggest market....that's where Silver's focus is. Makes sense.

This is my first day, yes. Tell me more.

That's bullshit. If a player can't be bothered to improve his free throw shooting he shouldn't be shielded by some cockamamie rule.

Anyway, if he went to the line fewer times we would be deprived of the spectacle of "Airball Jordan" and his foul shooting!

Shielding players who can't shoot free throws will do to the league what Affirmative Action hires have done to the Federal government.

One-trick ponies like Jordan and Howard are embarrassing and f'ing boring to watch. Any tall person can dunk or block a shot.

I am of the opinion that if you can't average at least 50% of your free throws you should be automatically removed from the game by the refs in every game at crunch time. Better yet, banned from all 2nd and 4th quarters entirely.

This would save the player and his inept coaching staff from public embarrassment, increase fan viewership, and keep games exciting to watch.

Stiffs who can't make uncontested shots shouldn't even be in a league people pay to watch.

1st best player if he's shielded from his horrific shooting inabilities.

Kaman can't shoot longballs very well, so Silver should make a rule nobody can guard him above the key.

What exactly do you mean by this?

What is the difference between shielding bad free throw shooters, and discriminating against all the other players?
