If they force a game 7 they will be the third in NBA history to do do after being down 1-3...no team has come back to win it all

did you mean just in the NBA finals?

I thought I saw the betting line went all the way down from -6.5 to -6? Vegas not too worried.

This is why analytics will never be a substitute for understanding sports psychology.

What happened to the "Kyrie is so overrated" crowd?

Whoever stated Irving is overrated is foolish, and I'm not just saying that because of tonight's game. His defense is usually suspect, as per most PG's in this league, but his offensive game is probably the most well-rounded of all point guards in the league. He can get hot from three, his midrange is consistent (please work on this, Lillard...), and he's so good at driving and using the glass. Being a true point is his only downfall, really.

I did a double take when they said Kyrie is only 24. He looks like the oldest guy on the court.

I've gotta say, I've been pretty damn impressed with his defense this series, too. It isn't always leading to the desired result, but the effort has been mostly stellar and you don't exactly expect to get stops every time down against GS' back court.

Watching Kyrie last night I kept imagining Dame in the same situations. Over the last three games Kyrie has outplayed my imaginary Dame, and is making plays I'm not sure Dame can make. Granted, he's going against Curry....

I thought my "Warriors in 6" prediction was in serious jeopardy - big ups to LeBron and Kyrie for making it happen!

LeBron James has the highest scoring average in Finals elimination games in NBA history. Higher than Jordan.

That's so sad! Don't make me feel sorry for Kevin Love!
Too late. You can't help but feel sorry for him after seeing his face fall like that. I mean, that's quitessential seeking-Dad's-approval moment right there. And considering who Kev's real dad is, that makes it even more sad.

Assuming the Warriors do win, who's Finals MVP? I say Draymond. He proved his worth while he was there AND while he wasn't. Iggy was pretty quiet without him.

HOLY HELL I am so glad we waived that fake ass flopping Varijo. I dont even care to want to spell his name correctly. What an ass hat. No oscar there, he is a piss poor actor. Needs to find a job flipping burgers...

There was another play in I think the early 4th, when there was a lose ball and several players hit the floor after it. The result ended up being Cav's (after a Time out) ball with 2 seconds left to get the ball across half court. Anyways I ended up rewinding it several times because Jefferson seemed to be screaming at Love after the play. I kept looking to see if maybe he was yelling at a ref, but there did not seem to be one close by. It looked to me like Jefferson was totally pissed that Love was standing back watching the play and not joining in. It was kind of an odd scene. Personally I didn't see the need for a 4 player to join the pile, but Jefferson was really agitated for some reason. Anyone else see it?

Smug? I can only hope that everyone complaining about GSW smugness are also upset with Jordan and Bulls, Kobe and Lakers and practically all winners of the past in basketball. Confidence and smugness go hand in hand in this game. Not for a second do I expect these players to think like I do.

"If you got it, flaunt it" is the attitude of modern society and that is a natural extension of human nature. For those of us that have some level of sophistication we abhorr that kind of thinking and fight our natural instinct to show off and be smug of our success. That some disgruntled fans get mad when 20 year old kids with millions of dollars and thousands of adoring fans get overly proud of their accomplishment in their sport seems more a problem with the upset fans than with the players. This is not hockey!

If I am off base, please enlighten me. That's why I'm here.

No, no! You thought I meant I'm here to be enlightened? On the contrary! I meant I'm here to enlighten all of you, which I've been doing quite admirably if I do say so myself! Guffaw!! :smug:

I saw that too and rewound it to confirm he was yelling at Love.

Same here, since they've been measured against each other so much. Kyrie has always been the better all-around scorer, with Dame having an edge in at least the perception of a better shooting stroke. Either can get equally hot, as Kyrie has been demonstrating. Around the basket and ball handling, it's Kyrie by miles. I've said for a couple years now, Kyrie might be the best offensive player in the game.

Where Dame has had an advantage is passing (Kyrie is the ultimate one-man show) and defense (Dame is terrible, Kyrie is atrocious). If Kyrie keeps playing D like he has in the Finals, though, he jumps way ahead of Dame in that category.

If Jefferson was indeed yelling at Love after this play, then it seems obvious that their frustration with him was discussed between he and James......before the game. They are either trying to light a fire under him, or they just don't like him.

If that's the treatment Love gets from James no wonder Love looks so deflated in these games. Honestly, if James thinks that's the way to motivate Kevin Love, or most people for that matter, he's a lousy leader.

Keep in mind I've always thought Love was overrated, but at the same time he does have obvious skill. In these games, I've begun to wonder if Love was any good at all. Having seen this, I'm thinking his play is more a matter of the shitty "offense" the Cavs run, poor leadership, and poor team camaraderie.

I was starting to think I wouldn't want Love at any price. Now I'm thinking if we could get Love at fire sale prices, we should jump on it. Dwight and Love both have something to prove on their next team, and both I think would benefit from playing with a group of guys who get along and have each other's backs. I think they both just want to be loved. Is that so wrong? ;)

If Olshey finds a way to pair Dwight and Love with Dame and CJ, the Blazers will be on national TV 25+ times next year.

Part of Love's problem is he can't play at a fast pace, despite having improved his mobility a bunch over the years. With Draymond Groin playing, Love was a huge liability. Without DGroin in the game, he was merely invisible. He just can't match up against speedy lineups that are moderately close to him in size. That seems to be the case on both ends of the court, not just on D where he's always been highly suspect.
