NBA Playoffs at its best… this goes to 7 game

The Suns are dangerous. Looks like a best of 3 series from here on out. Denver is pretty used to playing together as a core unit. These Suns are figuring out what works on the fly, can't count them out.

Watch NBA suspends Jokic next game
They probably should. I don't care if that dude is an owner or not, he didn't instigate that aggressive contact. Who cares if some dude is holding the ball, let the refs take care of it and carry on.

That being said, I don't know if they will suspend him because they won't want that to be what turns this series. I guess we'll wait and see.

I would fine him but not suspend him.

Yeah I watched a few angles and there was really no reason for him to shove the owner. The guy flopped to make it worse than it was but Jokic still shouldn’t have done it.

Don't know what highlights you guys are watching, but the Suns owner was completely in the wrong. Watching him prevent play is not respectable behavior, it's him being a little tyrant asshat at home where fans have his back. Fuck him, he should have been tossed and definitely should be reprimanded.

STOMP

Bottom line - if a playoff series is swung by that stupid interaction, the NBA product further degrades.

i mean, the suns in 07 have a thing or two to say about guys getting suspended in crucial playoff games because the NBA decided to uphold the letter of the law.

Should blazer fans be rooting for Philly?

I find myself wanting boston to win, but then i remember, we have better chances at brown if they lose

I just have a hard time watching a team that made it to the second round and probably pushing a 6-7 game series, thinking "If they lose they will want to give up their best players". That never happens here.

So. . odds are a #7 seed goes to WCF and could well win it. Or else a #6. All this better to tank in hopes of hot prospect than be a low seed doesn't quite ring true.

False. The Lakers and Warriors are legit contenders and have been for many years - obviously as they won two of the last three championships.

Them having injuries or players acquired at the trade deadline that bumped them to lower seeds doesn't change that. They are at a totally different sphere then the Blazers have been for decades. The Warriors built that team in the draft by yes being in the lottery with Klay, Draymond, Steph, Barnes - and then adding a few key vets in Iggy/etc. Same as Milwaukee built their team with good draft picks - Phoenix, Denver, Memphis, etc.

Normally I would agree with your skepticism.

But we actually saw a team USA vet in Grant force his way here last summer. There are many credible rumors Brown is different than most stars - he doesn't like the city of Boston, he is on an expiring contract, he really likes Billups-Dame-Grant, and he likes the idea of playing with those guys in Portland.

I'd still say odds are certainly higher he isn't a Blazer regardless of the playoffs - but this could be a unique situation.

Not sure when they announce All-NBA teams... but that could be an even bigger difference in Brown leaving. If he makes All-NBA and can get a much larger supermax extension in Boston vs forcing a trade here on a smaller contract that probably decreases his chances of being a Blazer significantly.

By holding the ball, Jokic couldn't get the ball inbounds. The owner interfered with the game and someone made contact with Jokic in the crowd. Not ok. Jokic should never had to be in that position. That owner should be ashamed of himself. What kind of person does that? A total entitled POS that's who. Could you imagine if a coach did that? Hold the fucking ball and prevent the flow of the game? He is the owner! Suns have another POS owner. Go figure. I will NEVER root for the Suns now. Go Lakers. Fuck the Suns. Purple and gold baby.

Wait, what? Why aren't you rooting for Denver then? Why the Lakers? I really don't like any of the teams out of the west, but the Lakers are my least favorite of the four. Denver is my least disliked of the four, basically in order of preference I am rooting for these teams to lose in this order: Lakers, Warriors, Phoenix, Denver, or by extension these are the preferred teams to not lose in this order: Denver, Phoenix, Warriors, Lakers. I don't mind LeBron, but dislike AD, and have always had disdain for this Warriors team. Durant is a punk, but the rest of Phoenix is okay, and am more or less neutral to Denver.

Very likely he will be 2nd team

Of course I am rooting for Denver. In the event they lose I want LAL to destroy PHX.

Jokic also contributed to the delay--him being over there and trying to get the ball from Ishbia prevented the ref from getting over there and getting the ball himself, and then created a situation to which the ref had to tend. If Jokic had just let the ref do his job, he would have gotten the ball inbounded much more quickly.

I'd be pretty sure that Jokic knew who it was holding the ball. I suspect he would have never done that if it would have been a 'normal' fan. Deliberate action

that doesn't mean that the owner wasn't being a doofus

I just don't even know what he was doing.... why did he charge in and start ripping the ball away? There was still a Suns player trying to get up out of the crowd.

And then the shove was an overreaction by him, even if the owner flopped.

I see it a couple ways. Both involved know exactly what they were doing. That owner knows the game well enough to know he wants the Suns player up and ready before he gives up the ball. Jokic knows full well who that is and he knows exactly what he is doing by holding the ball like that. So he in turn tries to take the ball and get play moving faster while the player is still down.
To me there is no question both were trying to influence the situation and I feel the Tech was warranted beings there was a push. However I also feel that is the end of the situation and there should be no further action taken. This issue is over. Been handled already.

Miami win it’s over for the Knicks
Warriors win it’s over for the Lakers
