They need a month or so of training camps too... Can you imagine the injuries that are going to occur if they bring guys in cold after being stuck in their homes for however long this goes on. Obviously the very well paid guys can afford their private gyms but many of them can't.
Dame is going to show up to camp looking like THIS watch!

whats the min salary? 800 thousand a year?

teams pick up all hotels and flights. Thats plenty of money to build a house with a gym.

of course they would have had to already have it built because of their personal work ethic.... lol

Save this link and when this is all over let's look at this again and we can discuss just how prepare we were and how accurate the study was.

It won't matter. Everyone in OT is too focused on blaming Trump for everything. I've stated repeatedly that the blame falls squarely on China. How much of that do you see over there?

Did you follow up the article by referencing the pages at John Hopkins University? If you had you would notice that we ranked 54th in exercising response plans, and 175th, next to last in health care access. It has been the failings in the federal governments response to the pandemic that is the most alarming, especially down playing the seriousness in the earliest stages that have been the most criticized of the administrations handling and response. The most disturbing section i found to be not the administrations fault, but that as one of the richest and resourceful countries in the index, we only ranked 175th in access to health care.
Score References:Question 2:
3.2.1b) Is there evidence that the country in the past year has undergone an exercise to identify a list of gaps and best practices through either an after action review (post emergency response) or a biological threat-focused IHR exercise with the WHO?
Score and/or Justification:
There is no evidence that the US has undergone an exercise to identify a list of gaps and best practices through either an after-action review (post emergency response) or a biological threat-focused IHR exercise with the World Health Organization (WHO). The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) supports local health departments to prepare for and respond to public health emergencies, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) provides guidance and templates for after-action reviews of public health responses to emergencies of all kinds. [1, 2] A CDC review of nationwide preparedness work in the past year, published in April 2018, noted that public health incidents in the past year had included Zika, Salmonella and Seoul Virus outbreaks (no biological attacks were noted). [1] There is no evidence of after-action review reports based on these or other disease outbreak incidents in the past year, either from the CDC, FEMA, the WHO or media reporting. [3, 4, 5] There is no evidence that the US has carried out a biological threat-focused IHR exercise with the WHO in recent years, or undergone an exercise to identify a list of gaps and best practices from such an exercise in the past year. The blame for the US' lack of preparation and attempts to combat this falls squarely on China? That makes no sense. No one* is blaming Trump for the virus itself.

*In the mainstream. I'm sure you can find a random dude on the internet saying Trump bioengineered it.

The blame for the pandemic itself falls squarely on China. That is what I've said repeatedly. As far as preparedness, it's a little less clear. However, most of the items I've seen cited in the OT section are not completely factual.

Is it wrong that the Nation is basically relying on the Governor of New York to get real answers and leadership? If you are looking for it from this President you will be dissatisfied at best.

Sure, but that isn't what Trump is being blamed for. No one on this forum is claiming Trump created or started the virus, or caused it to become a pandemic.

And that is a big issue to me. People are completely focused on blaming Trump for the response to the pandemic. We wouldn't even have a pandemic if it wasn't for the Chinese government. Where is the outrage regarding that?

Most realize I don’t chat politics on here. Question to you sir, didn’t I read that Trump shut down the program that would have directly helped with this situation? Saw in a press conference him being asked about this.

There is. I've seen many, many condemnations of China. But we don't have any control over China. People are focusing on the US and what we should have some control over--the response to it reaching the US.

It was consolidated into another similar program.

We absolutely can influence the actions that the Chinese government takes.

But we can't influence that actions that have already taken place in China. We can't travel back in time. Once the infection was known and the pandemic started, all the US has had control over is how they deal with it. And all we, as private citizens, have control over is our elected representatives. So of course that's where most of the focus has gone. There's been plenty of blame on China for starting it.

We can't change the actions that have already taken place in response to the pandemic in the US either. Those are in the past now. However, what I've seen is a lot of misinformation being cited in the OT section. Could we have been better prepared? Certainly. Was the lack of preparedness solely the fault of the current administration? I would argue absolutely not. There are a lot of things you can blame on the Trump administration, but the response to the pandemic would not be near the top of the list in my opinion.

I disagree with you on so much of this but I'm not going to get into it in here. I will say in direct response to this, that a Trump supporter complaining about misinformation, in this time of his daily briefings that are filled with outright, self aggrandizing lies, is laughable.

I don't like misinformation regardless of the viewpoint it is promoting.

We can pump our own gas now, until at least April 11.

Where in the state can I pump my own gas under this provision?

Anywhere.

How will I know how to pump my own gas?

There should be instructions posted on the dispensing equipment. In addition, the Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM), in partnership with the Oregon Health Authority, produced a flyer that operators may post at dispensers. The flyer provides safety instructions for the dispensing of gasoline, general operating instructions, and measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

What is a Class 1 flammable liquid?

Gasoline is categorized as a Class 1 flammable liquid.

Do I have to have an attendant do anything?

Under this provision, no.

So to stop the spread of the virus we will all touch the gas pumps! :)
