LOL ... might be right ... but I am not saying until we find out if he's TorturedBlazerFan or HCP's Mom or something.
 
Seems like there weren’t the players we were looking for available. Shows what the team thinks about Zach going forward as a key part of this team. Could have easily had K.Love in a Whiteside deal - shows the teams belief that keeping depth at the 5 is key.

I agree 100%. Looking at our current situation making up the games to get into the 7 seed might be a far shot with only 30 games left.

Which means we start thinking about our 1st round opponent which will likely be the Lakers. A deep pool of talented bigs with Nurk/Whiteside/Collins will be key to matching up with AD and defending the paint against LeBron. Everybody in the world will count us out of that series and overlook how much talent and experience we actually have on our team with Dame/CJ/Ariza/Melo/Whiteside

This team is very underrated right now due to injuries, and I’m a bit (only a bit, lol) surprised some of you are so quick to chastise Olshey.

This team is actually kind of stacked, just a shame we have so many injuries. Thankfully there’s not much pressure to slide into the 8 seed and then bring guys back and just take care of business in the playoffs like we are capable of.

Word. Drummond makes a stink about his situation, but I feel like if I were a player then the real shit situation would be Mo’s. Going from a contender to a team that won’t even make the playoffs. I guess some guys are CTC and would rather spend the offseason in Mexico anyways; but if you had your eyes on a chip with the Clippers and wake up to find you are going to the Knicks... shiiiiiiit

I'm no Olshey fan, but boy am I glad we don't have the front offices of Detroit or Minnesota. Minny just gave up their only good defender (and a +/- star) Covington and picked up +/- horrowshow D-Lo. I guess they did offload Wiggins, at least.
 
If only I’m a billionaire and seeing my franchise player is in his prime, I will do anything to help him. Who cares about luxury taxes, I have the best fans in the NBA and I will get those players to help my All-star win a title.

Drummond said he’s going to decline his player option next year and that he looks forward to being a free agent worthy of a max... so I’d say money is a big factor. Detroit probably didn’t want an Aldridge situation.

New York’s the best city in the world. MSG is the best arena in the world. Fans are passionate. He’s wanted. He went to college there. I’d be thrilled!

Exactly. If Drummond was really so committed to Detroit, he could have agreed to an extension like Dame did. He wouldn't do that, apparently, so the Pistons getting something for him is just good business.

Another thing to remember is the Lakers won’t necessarily be the #1 seed. Still could be Clippers or Nuggets. I know Denver killed us the other night but I think they’re ideal first round opponent. Then Jazz or Rockets in 2nd. Won’t have to play both LA teams to reach Finals. Just one of them.

I agree. Wiggins hasn't been great so far, though he's improved this year, but I think Kerr and Adams have a great chance at unlocking his incredible range of athletic tools. I'm not going to forecast him becoming the next Kobe Bryant, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if he became an 18-20 PPG scorer on decent efficiency, with an effective inside-outside game, a little distributing ability and a solid-or-better switchable defender.
