NCAA source: "Unprecedented" penalties against Penn State

While the boys were of course the main victims, a lot of others were harmed. So far as I've heard, no player was ever implicated in cover up but they are harmed. And not just players. Can you imagine anyone sending in a resume and listing Penn State as alma mater? You know what the first question they get will be.

Sadly the punishment can only punish, not fix.

The money doesn't go to the NCAA. Penn State itself wanted the death penalty for 1-2 years instead of this because this is way more harsh

My sister-in-law called it a "to the pain" punishment rather than "to the death". I agree, and I do think it's harsher than a simple death penalty punishment...

...and even then I think it's only just barely adequate. A "C-" punishment.

Great PB reference
