He's clearing cap space. He's adding bench players. These aren't the moves of a guy who is blowing it up. These aren't the moves of a guy who is rebuilding. If we were rebuilding we would have held onto RHJ. Plumlee and Henderson are solid bench guys.

I think either A) Aldridge is gone and he's looking to make two max offers, or B) Aldridge is staying and he's trying to clear enough space to make a second max offer.

I think Plumlee is a starter. He's got comparable stats to Lopez.

I don't think so. Maybe you're right, but it's pretty obvious that Neil is clearing space for something big. There are quite a few centers. Jordan, Hibbert, etc.

Were going after deandre. I'm almost sure of it.

I hate to say this but I think Olshey is just filling roster spots. He's taking into effect that no one will want to come her or resign. It's damage control.

I don't think so. The last two trades have shed something like 6 or 7 million in cap space. That's not an accident. That's by design.

I think you are onto something. We may get a "Welcome Boogie" thread

Lets see..Trade away a strong athletic guy with crazy hops, excellent defender…Good guy….Young…..And this coming right after dealing Batum ? What bozo is running the Blazers ? I can see the lottery coming for Portland in Draft 2016

Kawhi Leonard is worth the max, but if SA wants LA, I don't know if they can max him.

That's fine. One or two years in the lottery to become a young contender would be worth it.

Love or Monroe and Carroll get us into the playoffs. Lose in the first round, so all this for virtually nothing

Dame/Blake still probably
Henderson/CJ/Connaughton
Carroll/Crabbe
Love/Vonleh
Plumlee/Leonar_

"Men plan and God laughs." Sure, Neil is trying to "build" toward something (maybe?) but I doubt it's of the "shrewd, carefully executed plan" variety and more of the "bailing water and trying to plug holes in a boat" sort. We'll see what happens I guess, but I can't really see highly coveted free agents picking Portland with so much uncertainty surrounding the team and so little track record of sustained success.
