Capable of having 4-5 games and then taking a huge dump the next 5. I'm not counting on him being a championship piece unless he's the 5th option, and in that case dude is gonna mope around.
He's shown more than that... can't wait to see the huge improvement that capspace will provide. Oh and a TPE that probably won't be used. And a first that probably won't come to us this year. And 2nd round draft picks! Oh boy!

Ya I edited.

That capspace is gonna be closer to 5-10 mil once you do all the calcs.

So basically....... a move now to make sure we're under the luxury tax this summer. Sounds about right.

You forgot our dead cap (4M for Bledsoe and 3M for Nicholson), also 13M for Josh Hart.

Nicholson's contract.....

I think this is going to come full circle and we're going to try hard for Myles Turner (Bledsoe contract + pick) or Jermai Grant (with our new TPE + picks).

I don't hate this core.

Lillard/Simons
Hart/Simons
Little
Grant
Nurkic

We'd be a long and athletic team.

I think a better plan would probably be to use that TPE before Thursday as @andalusian noted and try to go into the FA above the cap so we can at least retain our MLE and Hart.

In this case, I wonder what are the under $21m dead contracts around the league we might be willing to take in addition for a cheap prospect or draft picks?

Still questioning the validity of that 21 mil number. I'm not sure how to make the math work to get to it.

But....

With Ant gone there now isn't a single Blazer player left from when Neil was GM in the 2021-22 season.

Only remnant of Olshey is the pick debt owed to Chicago. That was from the Larry Nance acquisition - Neil gave Chicago the Blazers pick with lottery protections from 2022-2028.
