Chandler Parsons is out for the rest of the year and he'll underwent another knee surgery.

Neil Olshey in only one offseason was able to overpay for Evan Turner, Allen Crabbe, Chandler Parsons and also sign the cadaver of Ezeli.

How can this man still have a job? oh wait, we all know why... Isaac Ropp knows it even better.

Wait, we overpaid for Chandler Parsons?

Why the hell is he not on our team?

*hint* wording is key here.

Do the math Einstein. If he would have signed Parsons for $94 million he would not have been able to also sign Turner and Ezeli, and may not have matched Crabbe.

So, now we're criticizing the GM for things that not only didn't happen, but could not have possibly happened? You also left out Whiteside. He was our number one free agent target, but I guess since he's having a great year, he doesn't count.

Isaac, is that you? Welcome to the forum. Sorry, not sorry, you lost your job on Talking Ball. It most really suck knowing they preferred Dwight Jaynes and Jason Quick over you.

Oh well, maybe you can have a nice rant on your show today about how Olshey sucks because he let LaMarcus Aldridge walk for nothing. You know, pick at a scab from the distant past to try to bring down all the current excitement over Nurkmania and the push to make the playoffs. Heaven forbid we should let these stoopid fans get all excited over something like winning. It's much more fun to tear things down than to build them up.

Not our problem. He never signed.

Besides, the wording made it sound like we signed him and he's on our team.

Oh wait, there's a saying for this:

FAKE NEWS! ALTERNATIVE FACTS!

Yeah, it really sucks for us that Parsons has been injured and unproductive. Exactly how, I'm note sure, but I guess Olshey is the GM in MEM, too, or something like that. Apparently, he also overpaid Mike Conley. Better add that one to the list, too. Don't want to miss out on the chance to bash Olshey for something he didn't do.

Homers keep saying that Olshey never pursued Whiteside. That was just a board rumor, they say. He has succeeded at everything, and if he didn't, it must have been a board rumor.

On the other hand, I wish the OP had worked this into some existing thread instead of starting one. It gave Boob an excuse to pad his pontification count.

I am not going to get on Olshey's ass for things that almost but didn't happen. He may have paid to much for Turner and Crabbe, but they are both coming along, plus he just traded for the Bosnian beast. So, stop nipping at his ass like a chihuahua with rabies. Also, stop trolling, if you are going to create threads please stick to posts that have some kind of substance and are based in reality. Have some forethought. Cheers.

This is one of those rare cases when we really need an unlike button. SMH

A troll button?

Evidently, Whiteside is in on the board rumor:

“Portland was my second option,” Whiteside said at the team’s Saturday shootaround in Portland. “I would have came here.”

Of course, making Whiteside our first choice in free agency doesn't fit the OP's agenda. So, he conveniently left it out, but included our other non-singing of Chandler Parsons to further his agenda (aka: trolling).

"Isaac Ropp," lol...

What a twat.

I was surprised he still had one after the whole Draft the Stache debacle. Lucky for him media personalities are held to much lower standards than NBA GMs.

Maybe he IS isaac ropp?

That was my thought. Disgruntled former employee that has an ax to grind with Neil Olshey. Seems rather suspicious given all of Ropp's pissing, moaning and finger pointing after he got fired from his Talkin' Ball gig.

I don't remember anyone saying we didn't pursue Whiteside... He turned us down for a more lucrative guaranteed deal.

Well, we didn't meet with him. I believe he only met with Dallas and Miami. The prevailing thought was that we reached out and determined that he was going to sign with Miami so we decided to spend our time chasing other more attainable options.

Like Parsons....or was that before Whiteside?

I will go with the "ignore" button if the OP continues trolling.

I would prefer a "Nuke" button, but only Sly has that capability here. I believe Sly will do it for $5 and a Beef Brisket meal! :evilfire:

I might be wrong, but my understanding was that we met with Parsons right after midnight. So I'm not sure what transpired before that, but I think Neil decided that flying out to NY to meet with Whiteside was a waste of time.
