The Nets enjoyed a breakout weekend from guard Devin Harris, and aren't regretting the Jason Kidd trade they swung with Dallas last season.

"Devin has played great," general manager Kiki Vandeweghe said Monday afternoon. "He's taken us to another level."

Vandeweghe, many believe, has listed Harris as one of the only untouchable players on his roster.

"We're very happy to have him," he said, "very, very happy."

that's going a lil too far. He has yet to make an all star team, all nba team etc etc etc. Let's just wait one season.

He's not paid like an All-Star either. His age, coupled with production versus cap space used makes him a hard player to match up for now.

Not really a surprise (even though it doesn't actually have Vandeweghe deeming him untouchable). As Petey said, his salary is very cap-friendly and runs for quite a few more years. He's young, plays arguably the most important position in basketball, gets along well with is teammates, is a very smart player and still has potential to kick his game up yet another notch. Plus, he's a point guard that can dunk with emphasis!

TrueHoop:

New LeBron James trade proposals enter my inbox. Every LeBron trade scenario has the same feeling of being impossible for any number of reasons. Worth noodling with, though. And for what it's worth, I think the Cavaliers need to get at least one of the ten best youngish players in the NBA for such a thing to even be remotely considered. (In case you missed it, this is why we're even vaguely talking about doing the dumb thing by trading the greatest player on the planet.) UPDATE: Mocking the entire exercise ... an insane Knick fan fantasy.

One of the top ten best youngish players in the NBA, you say?
