Ryan Anderson is the fourth highest rated player?
 
Boone should be higher. Swift should be lower. Anderson should be lower. Hayes should be lower. Ager should be lower. Yi should be lower. Anderson, Hayes, Swift and Yi should all be somewhere in the mid-high 60's. Boone should be around 75.
 
I remember Boone was so angry two years ago because he was the lowest rated player in the game. This year he will be pissed again as Stromile Swift is even higher than him, haha.
 
Looks like the editting of players every year will never end.
 
haha oh man our team is such trash this year. Vince Carter isn't even in the 90's anymore?

Hopefully most of our guys have a high "potential" rating.
 
ya if you have high potential on NBA 2k it improves next season if you use that guy! and there is always development!
 
Carter - C+ inside game? I remember in 2k8 his default 'Close' rating was 99. Is it the same thing?
 
The numerical ratings are still there, you just have the option of summarizing all the numbers into a letter grade (you just press a button to switch between them).

So while he could still have a relatively high "close" rating and just suck in everything else...I doubt it.

I know the first thing I'll do when I get the game is boost Sean's athleticism, and maybe move his post-o up 5 points.
 
Would you happen to know what stats make up the 'inside game' category?
 
Jkidd ranked higher than Dirk, that can't be right.....
 
Anderson is 76? WTF, that's about as dumb as Chalmers being 79.

to be honest i think simmons is our sleeper out of that trade... i mean a lot of guys are already writing him off... if he can return to form he should be solid!

He has done nothing in the past two seasons to show that he's returning to form. Looks like he's just a case of an injury downgrading a player's ability. Nothing we can do about it.

He's a decent player, but don't expect him to even scratch the surface of RJ's numbers last season.
 
I looked at all the ratings and they look a little suspect. I still don't know how Greg Oden can be injured all last season and have a +3 rating increase.
 
Yeah they looked like they were tampered. ^^ Also my gamertag is RELIEVE on xbox live. So hit me up to get an ass-whooppin.

I'm glad you're not a game developer. However, if you choose to buy it, it's your game and you can edit the stats the way you see fit.

Don't like my ratings? How about you post yours?

What have the rookies proved in the NBA? Nothing. Why should they a 75 rating if they haven't done anything yet.

I'm not jumping on the Yi bandwagon just because he joined the Nets. He crapped his pants during the Olympics, and didn't do much in Milwaukee either. If he was a regular old American prospect, he wouldn't be overrated by so many people.

Swift sucks.

So does Ager.

BTW, I've grown so disenchanted with NBA games that I rarely play them anymore. Let alone waste 60 bucks to buy them.

You put Sean Williams as the 3rd best player on the Nets. That kind of undermine your credibility. Williams couldn't even out play the rookies at summer league. So, where is this sudden boost in skill coming from?

I was happy with 2k8. So, I'll be buying 2k9. Also, the stats and the summary isn't that big a deal. If you play season mode you can train the players to raise them. If you play online, player skill > stats.

As I said, I won't be giving out 75's to rookies, and the rest of the bunch other than Dooling and Boone (who I gave 1 less than Williams) aren't up to par with him. Face it: the Nets suck this year. Sean Williams could be the third best player on the team this year. So could Boone, Dooling, Yi and Lopez.

This game updates daily to real time stats. The sad thing his rating might dip even lower. So if he gets pissed now just imagine when the game drops in OCT. I think he sucks anyway, will see how he does without Will.
