In the latest poll of its expert class, ESPN reports on which cities are most likely to get an NBA franchise in the next decade. Seattle gets 14 votes out of 25 cast. Las Vegas is next with nine. Way down the list along with Moscow and Mexico City is Newark. In spite of its new arena, ESPN writes: “City couldn’t even keep its Starbucks. A third NBA franchise in the metro area seems too much”.

Newark (1 vote)

Pros: Brand-new Prudential Center looking for more than Seton Hall when it comes to hoops. Abandoned fan base unwilling to schlep to Brooklyn to see Nets.

Cons: City couldn't even keep its Starbucks. A third NBA franchise in the metro area seems too much, especially with Knicks having returned to glory under Mike D'Antoni and all those new NBA championship banners floating over MSG (it's 2018, right?).

Lol does that say the Knicks have returned to glory? Have i missed something?
I wish the Nets would move to Newark, but we can all understand there are more opportunities in Brooklyn.

It would be kind of ridiculous to have 3 NBA teams in the area. It could always serve as a nice spot for the Nets if the Brooklyn move does not work out.

That's kind of harsh. Denver lost several Starbucks. They shouldn't have an NBA team.

Matter of fact, Newark may have lost it's Starbucks, but Bernardsville didn't. But since Newark doesn't deserve a team, move the Nuggets to Bernardsville. Call them the Bernardsville Nuggets.

So stupid.

Didn't Denver already move a professional sports team to New Jersey, that now plays in Newark?
