I've had good success with Hisense and Westinghouse. So much cheaper. I'll only buy Roku tvs going forward. Love their interface.Seriously. Never again. Lol

My Hisense TVs with Android TV are incredible. far better than Vizio or Samsung. And like half the price of Samsung.I've had good success with Hisense and Westinghouse. So much cheaper. I'll only buy Roku tvs going forward. Love their interface.
Are you on dial-up internet? Waiting for that long for a site to open seems like an internet connection issue.I have. The browser is so slow it doesnt work. Or i ran out of patience after 15 minutes of waiting for the blazer site to open up so i could even sign in.
It could be that the internet browser has blocked that IP address...Are you on dial-up internet? Waiting for that long for a site to open seems like an internet connection issue.
If I were you I would get a Roku or an ONN Box. People have been having a lot of problems with Fire sticks.Okay. But we already have a amazon firestick. It doesnt allow me to use the nba app on our samsung tv. Maybe there is a firestick setting?
But then the firsticks suck for trying to figure anything out as well. No notifications letting you know it needs an update. Et.
Bite your tongue FAMS! I love mine!Note to self... never buy a Samsung TV.
I realized I’m a sucker. My super box has the league pass yet I still get it on DirecTV out of habit! DAMN!Yeah, I would definitely go with the Walmart ONN Box instead of a fire stick. Or even better an Nvidia Shield. But that's like $200...
Got a ROKU stick for my daughter and her roommates down in college. Only time I ever use it is when we are down visiting. I love it. Very friendly interface. (I can’t believe I just typed that last sentence)I've had good success with Hisense and Westinghouse. So much cheaper. I'll only buy Roku tvs going forward. Love their interface.
FAMS….. you are a nerd! I had you pegged as a little bit gangsta’ like @THE HCP …… but this post puts you into some rare air around here. Like on the Nerd Mt Rushmore! My Hisense TVs with Android TV are incredible. far better than Vizio or Samsung. And like half the price of Samsung.
With Android TV (No box needed with these TVs Because they run Android TV) I'm able to get thousands of channels (including the Blazervision stream on KUNP) and pretty much anything on demand.
The Roku interface isn't for me. Personal preference. And I love the customization options on Android TV.
Nope and everything else runs great. I think its the tv.Are you on dial-up internet? Waiting for that long for a site to open seems like an internet connection issue.
Wife and I are talking about upgrading. I think the next one will be a Roku this holiday season and then we will move the samsung to an upstairs guest room where guests can deal with Samsung issues. If I were you I would get a Roku or an ONN Box. People have been having a lot of problems with Fire sticks.
If you get a Walmart ONN Box and try it and it doesn't work you can just return it.
From what I'm looking at online most people with Samsungs are able to watch NBA league pass through Roku or Android TV boxes.
Would you be so kind and willing to see if you can get the nba app on your tv? Im guessing you jist watch games on comcast or dtv being in the city limits so don't need Blazervision?Bite your tongue FAMS! I love mine!
If it's a good TV there's probably no reason to upgrade. Set $20 box will do everything Samsung will.Wife and I are talking about upgrading. Super Box is a great way to go if you don't mind spending the couple hundred bucks up front and getting used to the interface.I realized I’m a sucker. My super box has the league pass yet I still get it on DirecTV out of habit! DAMN!
And honestly, tv OS systems that are no roku or an established brand have been dog shit in my experience. I've had some that freeze all the time. In those cases I always just bought a Roku for $20 and used that instead. If it's a good TV there's probably no reason to upgrade. Set $20 box will do everything Samsung will.
If you are relying on your TV OS It can be taken away with the stroke of a pen. I highly recommend disregarding The OS on your TV and going with a box you plug into the back. Then you can always switch for under $50.
Yeah I don't like ever using a UI built into a TV. Sometimes they can cause lag or other issues with basic TV picture settings. While I'm a Roku user (ultra) I would likely never buy their TV's. Go to Video Only and get a great TV with a warranty and add Roku or Apple TV box. Even the best TVs have bad UIs.
Preseason@SharpeScooterShooter when was the last time you tried your PlayStation?
Preseason
Good point. Ill try tomorrow.I would try again. Preseason was wonky on BV.
Most of the nerds I know just go with the Superbox...FAMS….. you are a nerd! I had you pegged as a little bit gangsta’ like @THE HCP …… but this post puts you into some rare air around here. Like on the Nerd Mt Rushmore!
It's the best we're going to get. And far better than it has been in the past.BUT ITS SO EASY
We have 27 pages of messages about how to watch. As I said previously, much to the total dismay of HCP, if anyone thinks the average person (or a little old lady/man) is at home figuring this out they are either lying or an idiot. I am not sure why people dont understand this. The average person isnt figuring out TV types and what not to watch which app or which channel which may or may not be the same in their area. Univision or KUNP in one area showing the game and in another area showing Law & Order and so on. Throw in some antenna confusion, which may or may not work for shits and giggles. It's the best we're going to get. And far better than it has been in the past.
A few people may have to work a little harder, but not much. Far more people can legally watch now than have ever been able to.
Those 27 pages are 90% to help a very few people. We have 27 pages of messages about how to watch. Most of the nerds I know just go with the Superbox...
Just run it through its own router and no need to worry about malware or back doors.Nah they avoid malware and backdoors..
its absolutely possible to watch the Blazers, if you have the right cable, get KUNP, or blazervision or league pass i think if you can, i dont know. or do the antenna and that works. if someone out there doesnt have this lined up, or have someone to help them (my mom), you think they are going to figure this out? Fuck no. Thats my only point for the "its so simple" crowd. ironically, with the Fubo trial now, I watch them and am bored off my ass. You get disconnected for so long and lose interest. Those 27 pages are 90% to help a very few people.
A very small minority of people will have trouble getting KUNP over the air (or with their current cable subscription).
An even smaller number will not have access to high speed internet.
I agree with you that the state of streaming services (content in general) is an absolute travesty thanks to artificial scarcity. It's almost as bad as having a monopoly cable company. Though, it's not as bad.
It is hard because corporations want it to be hard. One of those corporations that want it to be hard is not the Blazers. It is clear to me that they did everything possible to make games as accessible as possible to as many people as possible.
It's as easy as ever for the vast majority of people. More than it ever has bbeen.its absolutely possible to watch the Blazers, if you have the right cable, get KUNP, or blazervision or league pass i think if you can, i dont know. or do the antenna and that works. if someone out there doesnt have this lined up, or have someone to help them (my mom), you think they are going to figure this out?
