Lake Placid is New York. You do know that right? I've worked in Salt Lake a few times. believe me it's way more appealing than Portland as a sports market.

Yes, upstate New York. 6 hours from nyc. But I guess a market that’s smaller with no Fortune 500 companies is more appealing than Portland.

So Portland has 1 more than SLC? (Nike) I am not sure that makes a big difference. The total number of companies willing to buy luxury suites, however, does. That is the number that counts, because we were discussing buying them for three different sports.

Timing makes me think he’s sayin “don’t think I couldn’t have bought the blazers but I got bigger passions that I throw my money to”

This name came up once. He didn’t seem to take it too seriously. Fertitta was the name he always mentioned. Vegas billionaires. My question is this. Did it ever even go to auction?
Sounds like your pizza guy doesn’t give you information without his own biases attached. He’s putting his favorite topping on every pizza whether you asked for it or not.

This could happen, but this might happen, but this didn’t happen. No information in that tweet at all.
Cuban would be in the know, he plays rat ball with Tom weekly. It a quote from Cuban.

Probably not anytime soon, as they won't do anything about it (publicly) until after it's approved by the NBA. They just now, iirc, approved the Celtics sale, and that was in March.

They still have to approve the Lakers sale. One would assume they'd do both at the same time (Portland and Lakers I mean), but they might want to do them individually as to do a deep dive into both. Probably won't be approved for months.
Has the NBA ever approved two separate sales at once?

They can call a vote at any time so it seems silly to have either sale awaiting the other approval. Once all the due diligence is complete for either sale they'll immediately approve just as the NBA always has done.

The approval yes makes it 100% final - but once an agreement is reached the rest of us can consider the deal effectively a sure thing.

I remember hearing about a bartender who used to do that. Pretty sure he got caught and went to jail.

I just like it better. I get the history and shit of ours, but it’s boring and is meaningless to every non Trailblazer fanatic.

It's been over 4 decades since I dropped acid. Maybe then I would have enjoyed that ugly ass logo of theirs.

Yes, everybody at the hair salon is always
Gabbing on and on about the Hurricanes logo…

If you were to put the two logos out into the average sports community, most wouldn't even know what the hell the Hurricanes logo is, let alone what team it is.

At least with the Blazers logo, fans recognize it and know it.

As for being "meaningless" to every non Blazer fan, they at least would know what it is. You ask the generic non Hurricane fan about their logo and they probably wouldn't have a clue what it is, or what sport it's for, or better yet, that it's an actual real logo.

I'm not saying their logo is bad, but it's not even a top 10 NHL logo. Hell, it's not even the best logo in their own state.
