Did I tell you about when my mom slapped me in the face as hard as she could when I was about five?

I grew up in the country, no black people anywhere. I'd never seen one but I had watched All in The Family with my grandpa. Let's just say he used the n word while watching it.

Mom takes me into Portland to Lloyd Center and I saw my first black person in real life and pointed and screamed "look mom, it's a N word"

The topics on the show are racy at best, downright crude. It's silly to take what was said on that show seriously. The guests try to be funny and play along.
 
That said, Trump did one of the most idiotic things this morning.

He tweeted bullshit angry response to John Lewis. He'd be better off not taking on iconic civil rights leaders as he did.

A better response would have been that he didn't have to show, that's his prerogative. His district is going to win along with everyone else.

Do you remember them voting themselves a raise and not doing anything...you were right in a previous post about them not passing anything...sorry Denny but the deficit started with a republican administration....the spending started with Cheney not Obama....it was necessary to refinance the country if you paid attention to what happened under Bush/Cheney.....your posts are distorted to make it look like americans were scared of Obama when I guess you were scared of Obama.....not me. The quality of jobs matter, too. Once a worker had a union job, now working at Walmart.

And we're not losing jobs. There was like something almost 200,000 jobs created last month. And the unemployment rate is way down compared to when your buddy Bush was in office. We'll see what happens when the orange Turd takes over...

Yes, 223K jobs created, 400K quit looking for work. How does that math look attractive?

It still matters what the jobs are. Seasonal Christmas type sales clerk jobs pay low and are temporary.

That's the number of Americans now counted as not in the labor force, a historic high that has confounded economists and policymakers. The total — 95.06 million to be more exact — has been rising consistently but surged by a gaudy 446,000 last month.

Like I wrote before. Trump shouldn't be the asking on his detractors like this. A better response would have been something like, "even though you won't support me, I intend to see the people of your district win over the next 8 years."
 
It was a coalition of High school and College educated men and women that elected Donald Trump.
He did very poorly among non High School educated voters.
Therefore, his pick for Education Secretary hold the keys to the future and I expect the Democrats to resist with all their might to stop the Trump administration for implementing school vouchers .
But if they get this through, it will drasically increase chances for city kids to graduate from High School. Shazam! Life will be difficult for Democrats seeking a voter base.

Mr. Lewis maybe able to ride on his fame from Selma, but not many Democrats have that rock.
