...still waiting for this supposed "miked up" recording of Sherman only saying "good game"...can you produce it or not?...if you can fine, I'll yield on that portion of the discussion...if not, just let it go.
.
SVP and Rusillo show, roughly 1:20 Eastern. Do you have anything to the contrary?

Sorry, Rick, I didn't know you were going for if it wasn't professional it was classy. Totally my fault.

This started out as a rant that Sherman was a "classless punk" "gangsta" "thug" for his postgame rants. Then after showing that he wasn't ranting to Ed Werter or the ESPN post-game crew or the podium, it became that he was a "gangsta thug" for scaring Erin Andrews. After it was pointed out that she herself said she wasn't scared and that it was "awesome", it then became him being a "classless punk" "gangsta" "thug" "taunting" Crabtree. After being proven that he actually just said "good game", it was whittled down to the detail that his giving a choke sign after being hit in the face was unprofessional. OK.

I agree that the choke sign was emotional and unprofessional. If you want to say "classless", sure. Now, will you agree that he is a very articulate and intelligent player who is the best CB in the NFL? Or are you going to stick with the "thug" "gangsta" spiel, even after it's all been stripped away as not true?

And has anyone brought up Crabtree punching a guy in the face? Until that point (regardless of what you think of his Andrews speech or his post-game comments) the only thing he'd done was say "good game" and offer his hand. Is that gangsta thug classless punk, or what?

Holy shit this is just unbelievable, its like one against the world. Brian I'm trying to be as kind as I possibly can. And we BOTH know that if you weren't a Seattle fan you'd be agreeing with everyone else here. But since you are a Seattle fan you'll never admit to that. But as my FINAL word on this topic let me just say this in response to your homerism post above.

#1 Not saying He's a thug Brian
for scaring Andrews, We're saying he BEHAVED like a thug for his out of control rant, basically calling out Crabtree to a fight on national television. This would be considered by EVERYONE but you as UN-PROFESSIONAL.

#2 It was NEVER proven that he said "Good game" but I'll be more then happy to apologize if you can supply a link with the sound bite of him saying that. Because if you can't then it was NOT proven.

and #3 making the choke sign is something an immature grade schooler would do. ORRRR, someone without class.

I'll wait for that sound bite where Sherman said to Crabtree "nice game". I mean if he was miked up it had to be heard by someone. And I'm sure you wouldn't have said he said it unless you had proof.

...ummm, you made the claim, hence the onus is on you.

...do you have a link to the supposed actual recording or not?...I have not heard it on ANY show and I have not heard of anyone else say they heard any "miked up" recording of Sherman saying "nice game" and patting him on the back...can you provide it or not?

...and yeah, I'm sure that Erin was really thinking "awesome" when your boy went into his tirade. (rolls eyes)

.

Brian, we're all still waiting for that sound bite where you claim the mic'd up Sherman said to Crabtree...."GOOD GAME". Otherwise my friend, you've proved NOTHING!

He was mic'd up. There's incontrovertible proof, dude. He said "good game" and offered his hand.

Look, I get it, you don't like what he did. No problem with that. Call him classless if you like, no problem. Root for the Broncos if you'd like, no problem with that. But I'm going to ask the question when these words like "thug" and "gangsta" get thrown around, because now you've moved into borderline hate speech, and I was trying to figure out where you're coming from.

Enjoy the Super Bowl.

Not even close to hate speech... the choke sign, the I'm gonna shut you up comment... wasn't quite exemplary of someone full of class. I don't doubt that he's had great moments... BUT, he clearly lost control in that interview and by doing the choke sign...

He said "good game" and got dissed... ok... doesn't exactly warrant the choke sign or clearly losing control...

One more quote, and I'll leave you to it...

Quote Originally Posted by Erin Andrews, for USA Today
“He never threatened me, he never cussed at me or the camera and I was never frightened to be honest with you,” she told the Dan Patrick Show Monday.

But she does have a small battle wound from the postgame scrum.

“I cut my way in to grab him because I knew they were going to take the interview,” she said. “He just bear-hugged me because he was so excited and I hit my chin on his pads and I was like, ‘Oh god, am I bleeding?’ So it was just so much raw, candid emotion at once.”

Immediately following the interview and all day Monday, Twitter erupted with negative commentary on how Sherman handled himself, when really he was just riding on adrenaline because he made a career-defining play to help his team go to the Super Bowl. It’s the kind of moment reporters live for.

“Dan, how much have you and I wanted a moment like that where an athlete didn’t say, ‘We’re playing Seahawks ball,’ ‘We’re taking it play-by-play, game-by-game, this is what we wanted,’”Andrews said. “He lost his mind and it was awesome for once, you know?”

ok, so he was amped, but in a good way before the on-air interview began... and once the cameras started rolling he was like that???? doesn't that say something? like it wasn't more losing control than thuggish tactics?

In that moment I don't think an opponent is interested in shaking hands. Sherman should've celebrated with this team and went to the sidelines. Then when the team meets on the field again perhaps offer the good game handshake.

...I dunno messiah...Seattle's D might throttle Manning.[/

Yeah, if Manning is also going to throw a weak underthrown sorry-ass sideline pass to one of Seattle's DBs or throw an endzone corner route into double coverage ...and if Seattle can't put a good pass rush on Manning in key situations...then YEAH, Seattle's "d" just might throttle Manning.

The early line is Denver by 1

My prediction...............Bronco's 20 Seahawks 16

I don't think it was that deep. 5 minutes later on the ESPN set? Sure. 30 minutes later in a suit and tie at the podium? Ok.

30 seconds after making the biggest play of your life against a dude who'd been talking smack the entire game (after calling him out during the week)? I think it was pure emotion. I loved it. You can have your Gregg Popovich/Bill Belichick sideline interviews. Sherman gave the entire world the reason there are sideline interviews. (Hate him for that, maybe. ;) )

Agree. This is pure emotion of heat of the moment. One thing....revis is the best DB mr dreadlocks.

I don't think the choke sign was professional. I can understand it, though, as it occurred literally 5 seconds after he got pushed in the face for saying "good game" and putting out his hand.

And yes, he was mic'd up. That means, he had a wireless microphone on him recording everything he said and heard--during plays, on the sidelines, trash talk, etc. Seriously? You ever watch NFL films?

Seriously extending your hand after trash talking back and forth all game and after patting his backside...is not good sportsmanship. If there was ever a real life sarcastic sign one could hold up like Wylie E Coyote did with the road runner...that would have been the perfect time.

Can't really blame him, it was the meth talking, he just snorted a huge line at halftime

And seriously, he came out and apologized, so that means he did nothing wrong in the first place

What??????

I was wrong. He didn't say "good game", he said "helluva game"...then got hit in the face, then made the unprofessional choke sign to Kaepernick before his interview to Andrews.

Audio from him being mic'd up released by Showtime here---on Wednesday, kinda like I said it probably would.

I don't dispute that he was disrespected on the field... But that isn't an excuse for him losing control...

Ditto. Acting like a raving lunatic during his interview with Andrews & basically looking for a fight with Crabtree was juvenile as was his choke gesture toward the 49er bench.

its funny to me how much coverage this is getting, front page of cnn, they are really trying to reign this in, but i think the ship has sailed. the narrative went from, "he's muhammad ali!" to " hes really, REALLY sorry!" in 24 hours

"i made a mistake,, i used poor judgement, i apologize, etc"...yet there were people here and all over saying "wow what a grand entertainer! he did nothing wrong! what a neat fellow!" shows how blind to reality people are when they want to be

when was the last time i guy made a game winning play, and then jumped around giving the choke sign to the opposing team? and saying "the other players sucked!" seriously, i dont care how much money you give to compton soup kitchens, youre a shitbird forever in my eyes.

end of the day, i dont know him and who cares really, do what you want, when you want, just ease up on the "judge him off the field" nonsense
