As a cowboy fan I knew this was coming from the getgo. Figured Murray wouldnt want to take only 5m a year and thats about all we could offer seeing as we have so many big contracts on O(Romo,Dez,Witten,T-Rex,) and couldnt really afford to spend to much more money on that side of the ball with all our holes on D.Dallas fans don't want to comment on losing DeMarco Murray? He was the Offensive Player of the Year last year correct? Do you believe All Day is walking through that door if Jerry Jones was only going to pay 5 MIL a year to his Running back?
Murray is a great player and it hurts to lose him but this was the first year he had been relatively healthy all year and he even had to play through a broken hand to do it.
You cant replace his production with any one player but grabbing a cheap FA RB, which we did in McFadden, drafting one of the two hood RBs in the draft and having Randle run behind the best O-Line in the NFL will be able to make up for 75-80% of the production Murray gave us by himself.
There is also the pipe dream of AP that is kept alive by this move.
