Some vids from his recent exhibition game featuring TP, Nash, Ibaka, Turiaf, etc.

Seems like Nic scored quite a bit:

Thanks for posting this - you should put it up as a fanshot on Blazers Edge, too.

There's another game today with France hosting Canada again. I hope I can find a link for it.

I hate De Colo. He's a gunner. I hope they sit his ass down when the real games start.
For the second game in a row, Diaw is the biggest contributor. That guy has so much talent - imagine if he actually gave a shit.

I believe he started @ 2 in the first two games. But once Noah comes back, I think he goes back to the bench and Nic starts @ 2.

TP/Nic/Diaw/Turiaf/Noah is a formidable lineup that can give Spain a run for the title.

You think Diaw could keep up at the 3...? I know athleticism is down a notch compared to the NBA but I would still have doubts.

I think Turiaf comes off the bench and they start Gelabale alongside Nic on the wing.

JellyBelly was a typical Wally Walker Sonic. Close, but not really an NBA player. Then he got injured and no NBA team was interested.

He's there best option, unless you like the idea of Diaw at the 3 too.

Damnit, I got the GMT to EST conversion messed up. Game is about to start now. Check the link in the above post. Claver is playing too.

AHahhhah, first move, Nic takes Rudy into the post (they're guarding each other), and blows an easy layup, but nice up and under move to get there.

France getting slaughtered. Gasol has more pts through threes than all of France does from everywhere on the floor.

Can't understand why TP and Diaw aren't doing more.

How did Nic end up playing? WHat about Rudy!

Nic got hit in the mouth hard, left the game, came back and played in the 4th, finished with 0 points.

HE'S DONE! He'll never be the same player again!

Claver was significantly better than both Rudy and Nic combined. It was pathetic. France didn't give a shit at all.

Okay! I'm here! Where's the party?

If you could give us a day's notice next time, a lot of us will be here watching the game. So Claver looked really good?

Ya I watched it. I've been searching for that fiba live stats page, but have had no luck. Claver's rebounding and speed totally caught me by surprise. Dude was skying for boards, while everyone else (Batum included) were grounded for the most part. Nic was scoreless, I believe, and looked tentative and lackadaisical, much like the rest of his teammates. His crappiness probably made it seem to ME like Claver was this good.

Pau was owning, though. He had no match on France's front line (which itself, was not supposed to be that bad with Turiaf, Diaw, and Noah)

If anyone wants to watch the game (for Claver's shoes, if nothing else), here's the first half:

And here's the second:

This is great! Thanks! A lot of NBA names playing!

16 to 4, Spain. I think the reason is that Tony Parker has been smiling the whole time. He sets the tone for his lesser teammates in effort.

There is FAR more talent in this game than in any Pro-Am summer game or Brandon Roy birthday party. Even the substitutes are NBA types like Pietrus and JellyBelly.

21-13, almost the end of the quarter. It's been even since Parker lost that stoned glowing eyes look. I shouldn't really blame effort. Spain has always been better coached than France. Plus they have the big men, the Gasol brothers.

Both teams were tired at the end of the first half and making mistakes. Rubio screwed up twice in a row near the end. I'll watch the second half later. Rudy as usual was a natural forward, not a guard. A box score would impress with all the NBA names.
