You do realize that there's a big gap in logic between your various statements and your conclusion that Olshey needs to go, right? If you love Powell and loved the trade when we got him, then you have to accept the provisions of the contract that he came with, which permits him to not pick up his option year and become a free agent. Losing him for nothing is Norm's prerogative, not Olshey's. Olshey can offer him anything up to a max contract since the Blazers hold his Bird Rights, but ultimately it's Norm's call as to where he wants to play next season. And while your statement that Olshey needs to go is widely held around here, there's no logical connection between all of the previous statements and that conclusion. Does Oshey need to go if he makes a great offer and re-signs Norm, he moves CJ so Norm can play his natural 2G spot, and he gets a really good player back in the CJ trade? If your answer is still yes, then there was no need to list Olshey in your analysis at all since your mind is already made up about his future with the team.
