Norm RoCo traded

Correct, unless we do it in combination with this trade. Once this trade is made official with the league office, Bledsoe can only be moved on his own
If Joe has another deal planned, it seems like it should have been wrapped up already; cuz you don't make a bad deal like this and then find out the second deal isn't going through.....

Well Bledsoe is a Rich Paul client. Now, we have Nurk/Ben Mac/Bled, and (effectively) Chauncey all repped by Klutch.

This.....some had us packaging Bledsoe with another player and predict Bledsoe will never wear a Blazer's jersey at all....the biggest chatter I'm reading about is CJ is being shopped hard all around the league....you move CJ and Bledsoe and you get some interesting opportunities for acquiring picks, a wing and maybe a quality PF....like him or not...Marang swears today CJ is being shopped harder than ever in his career before the deadline...the Clips move might have just primed the pump for a much bigger deal.....we could get an injured Miles Turner to bring in next season while we suck this season...lot of options out there...we got the Clips 21 pick from last year in Winslow and I'm pretty sure Chauncey knows the kid.

Lolol Marang. May as well ask some random guy at the grocery story what our front office is doing.

But for the 175949th time, we can't package Bledsoe with any other players in a deal...

There a lot crying in here about this trade. My opinion it did for us it got us below the cap and everyone in here probably new that was going happen. We moving to players actually didn't fit Billups system. Roco was not lock down defender and neither was Powell. Roco had 2 or 3 week there he had his offense going on but besides he been pretty bad. Powell offense was decent more often then not. Now all 3 of these players had better defense stats then those 2 but matter these would be leading or close leading us in that category. Keon probably will be the only with us next maybe winsole will be with next year. Got people already saying Keon has no skill but he athletic well I can remember that most of young guys didn't sit the world on fire for until about the 3rd year so we will see that going to pan. But let see how they fit into Billups system because it seems right now they more lock down defender then everyone we got right now. The only I know fit in that category right now for is Little.

The Blazers turned down a 1st round pick and a $15.5M TPE from New Orleans just so they could throw in Robert Covington into the trade because we really wanted a 6'3 guard with a 8'1 standing reach who's years away from helping Dame. GREAT.

And some of the same people that complained about Olshey drafting 6'3 guards who weren't on Dame's timeline (i.e. Anfernee Simons) now all of a sudden are happy with this move? If Olshey made this move they would've been blasting it for his love of 6'3 guards!!! Give me a break!

what the fuck are you talking about?...wait...I know...it's straw man 101

name one person who 'complained' about Olshey stocking the roster with six players 6'3 and under who is happy with this trade. Name just one.

fuck Neil Olshey...he was a shit GM and the architect of this crappy unbalanced roster. Just because Cronin may very well be an idiot GM does not make Olshey a better one

it doesn't change the fact that we got 25 cents on the dollar in this move while making a conference rival better in the process.
People talking about the Clipps now being odds on favorites may well be the worst part of this trade. If Cronin can swing things so the Blazers are right there next year great, but otherwise it feels like bowing out of the top half of the conference for Dame's remaining tenure.

Cj and Bledsoe can't be combined. Not that we'd really need to. What salary could we possibly need to aggregate that much for?
I'm trying to think about our targets this year: Simmons, Collins and Siakam. It doesn't help that Philly might trade Simmons for less if they can get rid of Harris, cuz Bledsoe contract not big enough to match either Simmons or Harris. Toronto doesn't have any big contracts that they want to unload. What if Atlanta decided that Gallinari and Bogdanavich are not good values? Just doesn't make sense, with them winning 7 or 8 straight. I can't think of what the next move would be and if there is a next move, why not right now?

I’m not happy about this trade but you guys care too much about what other fans think lol

RoCo wasn’t getting a first, not the way he has been playing this year and looks physically.

Not getting a first for Norm hurts but I’m willing to see what happens before having a tantrum lol
Roco has been playing very well in the last month.

You guys are gonna lose your fucking minds when you see the returns for Nurk and CJ.
Any idea on what kind of package we could get for the both of them? Id think Nurk has a good chance to stay here, but CJ I would think is on the move.

We got Winslow a kid who was the 21 pick last year and a future second for Roco who could have walked for nothing....we got the other two guys for Norm...probably a move to put Norm in a place he'd like to be.....I think Norm wanted out of here but being a quiet guy...this was done behind closed doors.....yeah....didn't get an allstar yet but I understand the setup this move gives us....Bledsoe can walk and come off the books post season...we can use his expiring as an asset off season...this whole trade was a salary dump.
I think you're getting people confused here man.

his 'analysis' of the Portland side of the trade is that it's not as shitty as it appears because there will be a step 2 and a step 3. And he spent time talking about CJ for Hart, Satoransky, and Hayes. That's an 'example' of step 2....I guess

sure, there could be other trades before the deadline. But the CJ to Pels trade he outlined had no bearing on the trade today. Just seems like he is not only moving the goal posts but making them as wide as the playing field

and I already see people excusing this trade, if nothing more happens before the deadline, because there could be moves in the off-season. Which, by the way could have happened without today's trade.

about the only way this trade can be remotely rationalized is if Bledsoe is traded for something good before the trade deadline
