I read it as you included gerrymandering as one of the reasons you attributed to DeSantis's drubbing of Crist.

Then you read wrong. Perhaps some context clues?

I stated the handful of different types of election interferences he used, and stated they were why Florida is completely red and almost devoid of Democrat representation now. Not why he won. I was referring to the other political offices in the state.

I already stated that DeSantis was going to win anyway. The amount he won by was affected by some of shit he did, not gerrymandering in particular though, as that only affects lower state level offices.

It was lumped in, though, but that's OK.

That said, one of the reasons gerrymandering (among other items) has been trotted out is that, arguably, it was designed to negatively affect the Black vote. I'm still looking for confirming data, but I had heard the Black voting turnout was actually higher this year, as opposed to previously, such as 2018 and 2020.

That's how I read it as well ... so I'll take it off but Julius and Prunetang always were trying to bang the gerrymandering drum as well ... end of the day it doesn't really matter. I am still waiting for your proof that the black vote didn't turn out.

Gerrymandering doesn't just affect the Black vote, it affects the vote of a whole party.

I was referring contextually in regard to the reporting, etc., surrounding/affecting the Black vote. What other situations were you referring to?

I'm saying when one party in a state gerrymanders it affects the whole other party in that state. But, yes, predominantly the black vote.

Honest question: Do you think DeSantis transcends his own party in Florida? (see: Authoritarianism) And if, so, would that sell nationally?

Though, gerrymandering probably does impact how accessible voting is (or isn't) for minorities... Which could certainly impact the vote.
