Nurkic is the new Crabbe/Leonard

Not the new Crabbe/Leonard, but also not as good as we need him to be. His % is fucking embarrassing for a guy his size. And not only this season, but his career fg%. We didn't need him to shoot 3s or long jumpers before he makes the ones close to the basket without turning the ball over as well. He should be shooting 55+% and cut his tos and fouls down. At least he started hitting some fts/ He should get his shit together because last year he found a fanbase really disappointed which saw some hope thanks to him and probably overestimated him as well, but in the future noone will be happy with him if he keeps this kind of play. He is just ok right now, but we need a difference maker down there.

Yes I know it's a small sample and Dame has been disappointing as well, but at least he has 5 years behind him where he has proven what he is. Nurkic has 20 games, so I won't be easy on him until he proves he deserves the hype going on in here. 39.4% a guy that is 8 feet tall and 400 pounds. fuck me.


Cmon guys, talking about missing Vonleh offensively is crazy talk. Ye we miss that 6 pt threat from the post and that's why Nurkic is not good.

We need more. We are dead last at points in the paint and we were talking about all these bigs we have. Don't get me wrong, if he stays like this he is still better than Plumlee but that doesn't change the fact that this team will go nowhere.

I know, Im just saying he had some very good 2nd halfs this season and thats what we need from him, so Nurk "old" is still there, just needs to work on his head a little bit and hell do that through the whole game
 
You can't teach good hands/touch, he just doesn't have it, he's a inefficient offensive player just like Lillard, a volume shooter.

You guys act like last year he had a DeAndre Jordan FG% stretch but the reality is that even last year you could see how inefficient he was, it comes to mind his game at the Staples Center vs the Lakers where he missed a ton of EASY buckets around the rim where you could clearly see his lack of touch, he finished 4/15 which is atrocious for a center.

If you extend Nurkic you are capped out with a mediocre team that could only aspire to basketball purgatory, a sort of Atlanta Hawks of the past decade in a tougher conference.

It's not a lack of touch, it's a lack of balance due to bad footwork, which can be corrected.

But you can good into your ignorant opinion, based in saltiness which I can tell is your basic disposition.

With that said, yes it can be foot work a the rim. When you are off balance shots go up off balanced. Really is black and white. I just think you have too many shades of doom installed over your glasses.

Footwork and mechanics are some of the easiest things to fix.
What cant be fixed is heart and effort.

You have alot of heart and give a ton of effort in trying to demean, derail, and defecate on our team.

There has to be something on the inside we are missing with you and your views of the Blazers.

Got to say Nurk looks much less sure of himself out there. I'm sure he'll settle down over the course of the season, and at least he's not hurting us defensively.

(Probably helps that Meyers got injured because otherwise Stotts might be tempted to give some of Nurk's minutes to Meyers, who has honestly outplayed him numbers-wise.)

Nothing, if not the never ending optimism of Blazers fans that become a bad thing when they overreact and overhype every single player that plays here.
 
One thing Nurk does rush thing at times but that could be he to hype up at the beginning of games. Because in the 2nd half he been pretty strong in games and seems to me someone's in that locker room is telling him to slow down and relax.

Maybe they have but with music playing and doing your pre game warms up he start getting hype for game that natural. But seem like your going after everyone here when they give there opinion on something. Maybe you need to get laid so you can relax.

What makes you so sure that what you've seen for 6 games outweighs last year's 20 games?

He's huge and above average mobile for his size, good timing on the blocks, good instincts but he has also a lot of holes in his game.

Nurkic, same as Lillard, is guarantee of mediocrity, too good to make us lose games but not as good to take us to another level.
