ok now, Nurkic's two best seasons came when Dame/CJ averaged 38 shots combined. Nurk didn't have trouble producing and being engaged then than

well, that's true....the Dame/CJ combo is topped out...there is no upside, but that's not new. That's been clear for several seasons. But Olshey will keep rebooting versions of it until he's fired or one of Dame/CJ retires or demands a trade
 
Who/what can we get from NY for Nurkic?

from Boston?

now if we packaged both Nurk & CJ, does NY or Boston have a package we’d like?

This is simply wrong. If he wasn't in the top 10 why would we have to let him walk...? A non top 10 center isn't going to get paid a ton.
 
Still think Nurk is the least of our problems. His defense is underrated and offensively we don’t need a ton from him.

seems silly to be worried about our center when he’s one of our best role players. Defensively when he was out late year there was huge difference. He’s a big man who rebounds well, good defensively, decent passer and sufficient on offense.

I think it’s important to look at Whitesides time here in order to stay grounded in thinking that it would be easy to replace Nurk.

At the very least, Nurk sets really good screens to get our guards open and forces the defense to be honest on him on those screens, don’t overlook that.

There’s really only one center that I want, and that is KAT. So unless the trade is involving KAT; I’m fine with Nurk.

Insignificant = RoCo
…..how do you win a championship with mediocrity or less?
 
Saw an article about trading Nurk for Bagley...eh

Maybe CJ and a 1st for Hield and Bagley
 
Rich Paul will do everything he can to get LeBron his center upgrade.

Trade ASAP. Not sure who I’d target that can fill that void - maybe Christian Wood.

Looking for backup center depth: GOGA BITADZE. Upside and in need of a defined role.

nurk is as good as gone, his cycle has run its course in portland

if hes not traded by the trade deadline, hes gonna leave in free agency for sure

sometimes, regardless of how we live our lives, change of scenario is needed and nurk needed to change his scenario last season and from what weve seen so far this season, nothing has changed for the better

I'll be honest, I do not care that much. Nurk can be so good sometimes and so frustrating others. It's hard to be attached to him after all this time. He is just so inconsistent.

If he is still around I would continue to cheer for him and hope he becomes good consistently, if he is not, that's fine too.
 
Looking at stats from Nurk now vs 2018-19. WEHT his shot blocking??
 
There are bigs out there that defend the paint, defend the perimeter, can shoot the ball much better and finish inside virtually every time they get an opportunity. They aren't giant dinosaurs so they need help when being posted up from time to time but that's easy to give up for someone who can actually score efficiently, protect the rime, switch and move his feet. These aren't necessarily superstars either there's a guy who's on the block right now and I don't think the price tag is too high that despite some in here saying is a weak inside defender... isn't and can do all of the things I just mentioned. So if we can get Turner on this team we should say bye to Nurk. Fuck it, if Boucher plus other assets are available for Nurk, I would send him packing.

Boucher, Achiuwa and Toronto's lottery protected first rounder for this year for Nurk. Make it happen Joe.

I am 60 / 40 on trading Nurk -- 60 keep / 40 trade BUT for the love of god IF the Blazers trade him -- send him to the East -- Do not keep him in the Western Conf and yeah i know he could sign with a West team in offseason but i am getting tired of making West teams better.
 
Looks like we're gonna keep Nurk. However, I have no idea why we couldn't have gotten Hartenstein in the clips trade.
