I agree. Like I said yesterday, we should take the best player that fills a need at 12.

I don't think we need a shutdown CB though, we disagree. Aside from the fact that they are very costly, I think with Prince, Brown back, Hill all season, and the other CB's we have, we'll be okay. Yes I think we can use another solid nickel CB, but we don't need a stud shutdown guy.

We can use a solid RB that can play when called on. A decent TE. Some CB depth as mentioned. But to me it is OL that we need most by far. Then a solid LB. The other things we need can be obtained without going nuts,

Chuck, I think we have a big need at the other cb spot opposite prince. Not sure what you mean by costly as they are slotted in the draft and cost the same as everyone else. brown and hill are safeties, webster and his sidekick will not be on the team leaving onl an undersized nickel back hosley and mcbride who played ok as a backup this season. Liek I said either olb or cb in this spot this year. Only ol that can go in this slot is ot which I hope they don't think they need.

Often heard him called KevinKillDrive. I wonder Why???

So all those Eli interceptions and fumbles were Gilbrides fault? Well then he definitely needs to be replaced, especially since they've only won 2 Super Bowls since he's been a part of the orgainization.

If you draft a CB at 12, something I could live with if that's the best need player available, that does not equal a shutdown CB for sure. I thought you were saying sign a costly free agent "shutdown CB". That I don't like. And I know Brown and Hill are safties, but they are solid secondary players. Along with Rolle. Thomas. Webster. Prince. Those are some nice players.

To me my first choice at 12 would be an impact LB if one was there. If not I would be okay with a CB or someone on the DL. This of course assumes there is not an OL there at 12 that is worthy of being taken that high. If there is I would take the OL for sure.

Eli was terrible this season, but I'm sorry dude Gilbride is not a good OC IMO. Way too predictable. Way too conservative. You'd forget we have a 100 mill QB with the way he calls a game.

Gillbride is garbage but the offensive line stinks and the tight ends and backs can't block.

Totally agree on the need for the focus to be on the OL, the Giants cannot succeed without being able to run the ball. Eli's strength is throwing off play action, if you can't run the ball he doesn't have a chance. I think Killdrive should have been gone years ago but must have a tight relationship with TC despite the fact that he can't design a screen pass or any type of release pattern for RBs and always has receivers running deep patterns with their back to Eli. One dback can usually cover 2 Giant receivers because they always end up bunched together, getting rid of Killdrive would be a significant improvement to start.

When you have a good offensive line, you can be conservative. A good offensive line that you can run behind, makes for a good passing game. Balance, is what makes teams good, or contenders. And you have to admit, the running game made the Giants tough to play against. Yeah its boring, but it gets the job done.

They haven't had a tough, physical offensive line that can play smash mouth in years. That's priority #1 for me.

71, they could use another playmaking linebacker type to go with beacon but this draft they have to fix the line so their 20 million dollar asset doesn't get killed behind it. I'm hoping reese can get 2 free agent o lineman in free agence and 1 be center mack from cleveland if they don't sign him. If that happens they draft linebacker or corner at 12. If they lay a free agency egg again then all bets are off and they probably draft a tackle and move pugh to a guard spot. There are 6 te's with good grades this draft so I hope they can pick up one in the 3rd rd. This is a giant offseason for reese who will have all eyes on him.

Wouldn't mind seeing my Chiefs pick up Sefarian Jenkins or the big WR Evans. The Giants could take Lewan or Olomu the CB at Oregon. That TE Ebron might be there for them too, he's supposed to be a freak of nature.

Giants are not taking anything but OL or maybe an OLB with that first pick. The moron should have dumped Nicks at the deadline for a second round pick. That being said, I could see Nicks having a monster year with an offensive coordinator with a brain that knows how to confuse defenses.

Kevin Gilbride will announce his retirement from coaching (Garafolo, Orr).

Rumors swirled after the season ended was that the Giants and the 62-year-old Gilbride would part ways (Raanan).

After the season ended, Giants CEO John Mara said changes were looming for the Giants’ offense, calling it “broken,” and saying, “we need to fix it.” Mara also stated the team cannot go into next season with the “same personnel.”

An official announcement is expected soon.

HE GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love reading mock drafts that have the Giants taking a CB or TE. Our OL sucks beyond belief. Reese made a huge mistake going after Myers who can't block. The Giants TE have never been a big part of the offense with Eli. They have to block like an extra OL. Giants should be able to find one in FA. Myers contract is basically voidable. The Giants barring a miracle are taking an OL in the first unless a stud OLB is there and they add a top OL via FA.
