I took my wife to the game last night. She knows very little about basketball, and doesn't watch it very much. Here are a few of the things she said during the game:
--"He just lost the ball; nobody touched him! (when Derek Fisher was "fouled" early in the first)
--"Why does he (Blake) always stop at the three-point line instead of going all the way to the basket?"
--"None of our guys ever stay by the basket to get a rebound. Shouldn't one of them at least try?"
--"Wait, he (Odom) just shoved the other guy (Batum) with his forearm--why is he getting free throws?"
--"All of their shots are from so far away. Why don't they get closer before they shoot?"
--"Oh, look - that guy (Dante) got a rebound! They should show video of that to the rest of the guys so they know what they should do."
Some things are obvious even to the uninitiated.
