Well I read your post then her post then your post.
I don't get it.
It didn't seem like a joke until sly pointed it out.

man this was kind of a funny thread then it got all MRA up in here
Yes you can! Why? Cause I do!
From a psychological perspective Karma is a pretty interesting topic. Lots of atheist/agnostic/skeptic types for whatever reason also seem unexplainably quick to endorse a metaphysical Karmic connection of some type when the subject comes up. It's weird.
I think it's because we like to hope that bad people get what they deserve. I attribute this to movies, and cartoons, and everything else that Hollywood pumps out. The villain isn't supposed to win, and yet bad people succeed all the time.

you believe God controls all events and is the arbiter and implementer of the results of our actions. that is not karma. karma by definition is something that just happens on autopilot.
My mother is a staunch YEC who also believes UFOs and aliens are real and originate from inside the Earth. Top that combo.
I had no idea Sly knew so much about what you can do.
I'd hate to check with him on what goes through my process.
I don't believe in Karma, but I do believe in the Evil Eye. The Evil Eye is watching you.
Thank you boys for making my point. And for telling me what I really think which of course women are too stupid to know until we get it mansplained to us.
It was my understanding that Buddhism isn't really a religion, at least not in the same regard as Christianity. I took a geography of religion class and from what I read, I got the impression that Buddhism is a way of life. Later on it was converted into a religion, and a means of making money.
I think a lot of people believe in the principle of karma, but not necessarily the specific definition of it. You don't have to be Buddhist to believe that doing something bad will bring back bad things upon you.
I personally believe I was caught in a time vortex while driving in Northern California.
Thank you boys for making my point. And for telling me what I really think which of course women are too stupid to know until we get it mansplained to us.
No I don't and most Christians don't. Many Christians believe that we have our own free will. Our actions determine our fate.

you believe god determines your fate based on your actions. no "karma" involved.
karma by standard definitions intrinsically implies the objective existence of morality apart from the will of god. this is overtly unbiblical.
there is no way belief in karma can logically fit with Christianity, unless you want to completely redefine what everyone generally means by the terms. but then again you do that with atheism so that would be nothing new.
What a shock--crandc making a gender issue out of something that has nothing to do with gender.
Funny how you twisted the response to your original response. Let's get back to topic shall we?
You said I can't believe in "karma" because god controls us. Sorry, that is far from biblical; when God said we have our own free will. No control there.
As far as the karma debate; I had a different idea and used the word in tongue and cheek; "see reply to sly". So my idea of karma is different.
Then you say even atheists believe in karma to some extent. Funny how it's compatible to your ideas; but damn any other ideology in this regard.
Seems you just pick and choose what suits you. Kinda like saying you are an agnostic atheist
You might be onto something here, a type of Karma for Christians. You can't call it Karma, why not Magma!
Okay so I won't use karma; but Christians used something similar. There have been many scripture that focused on doing things to others as you want done to you. Scripture that you receive blessings and rewards in heaven; by actions you have done on earth.
Maybe the end all reward isn't compatible; but the basic message is the same.
I was teasing/joking with you. It was a play on your moniker. Mags + Karma = Magma.
