Who's that older guy they usually have on talkin ball? I think he primarily covers college hoops.

Last year he predicted the blazers should take Lillard months before the draft.

His last time on a few months ago he made a similar 'suggestion' with Steven Adams.

Is Adams your flavor of the week?

What's up with all of the pictures comparing prospects' heights to Dwight Howard? First Lucas Nogueira, now Steven Adams. I get that some guys grow after their listings, but Howard showed up 6'9" without shoes to the combine. He's one of the more overlisted big men in the league. Also, two things that made Dwight so dominant pre-Lakers were his strength and athleticism. Let's wait to see how these guys do in those tests.

(Also have to point out the obvious, at the end of the day, there are plenty of 6'10"-7'+ players out there, you have to be able to play the game, otherwise Tom Herzog would have been a lottery pick.)

I agree. Howard is a horrible comparison for most big men. He was/is a physical freak. Kinda reminds me of Charles Barkley playing power forward at... what.... 6'4?

Shabazz Muhammad playing his tail off today. Really locked in on this defensive drill. Just dove on the floor as if it were The Final

Jonathan Givony ‏@DraftExpress 4m
Shabazz Muhammad really struggling so far. Shots not falling and couldn't create much in the one on ones. Did compete defensively, though.

As of today it's Nate Wolters. I don't think we're keeping the lotto pick.

So what do you think we are doing with the pick? Paul Allen loves the draft. I am sure he would be OK with getting rid of our lottery pick for a good player, but since we have pretty much picked a part every option, who is left. I know who you want, but who do you think we will get?

And if we do elect to stay patient this year (like I think you mentioned before) wouldn't keeping the lotto pick fall in line with that? I agree that trading the pick makes sense, but I am not sure now if there is a viable option out there to trade it for.

Rudy Gobert so far the one guy with the "Whoa" presence. Stands out among centers with his height, length

Impressed by Shabazz Muhammad with how hard he goes in drills. He has come into this combine in great shape. #NBADraftCombine

Kelly Olynyk really impressive. Can probably count on one hand how many jumpers he's missed. #NBACombine

UCLA G/F Shabazz Muhammad and Syrcause F James Southerland have interviewed with the Blazers at the Chicago Combine. Teams get 18 interviews

Jason Quick ‏@jwquick 27s
Shabazz Muhammad said he thinks he is better suited to play shooting guard at the NBA level. Blazers interviewed him yesterday in Chicago

Muhammad, occasionally unprompted, gushed about Portland. Says he would be a great fit between Lillard and @aldridge_12.

Jason Quick ‏@jwquick 26s
Syracuse wing James Southerland (6-foot-8) says he offers shooting and defense and compared himself to Houston's Chandler Parsons

Jason Quick ‏@jwquick 26s
Southerland said he is scheduled to interview with the Blazers today in Chicago

In case nobody else says it, I appreciate you bringing the tweets to this thread today, Boise Blazer. Repped for your efforts.

Yeah, I think he would be a great fit....

Muhammad said Blazers asked him impressions of team. " I told them great team ... I feel like I fit really well with their program.''

Steven Adams from Pitt has off the chart potential. Raw skill set and athleticism is scary. #NBACombine

Dario Šarić is supposed to be the most talented young Euro in years. From the videos I've watched he looks like a rather lead-footed 6'10" Sergio. Which would be all kinds of fun to watch, but not necessarily what we need. If you squint I guess you might see Detlef Schrempf with an even worse haircut...

I can see both shabazz and oladipo being better in the nba than college. It would be all about fit as to where they go. Ill take bazz

Nerlens Noel just told me he measured at 6-11 and 3/4 with shoes here in Chicago.

Jonathan Givony ‏@DraftExpress 1m
No one can score on Rudy Gobert inside the paint. Block, deflections, steals. Changing everything around the rim. #nbacombine

wonder if Gobert works out well if he can crack top 10?

Best two players I've seen at the Combine today have been Steven Adams and Rudy Gobert. Both helping themselves a lot here

How many people are NOT playing at the combine? Adams and Gobert might've already been considered the best of those actually appearing.

Bunch of point guards I like in this group as sleepers: Phil Pressey, Peyton Siva, Ray McCallum, and especially Myck Kabongo.

A lot of eyes are on Myck Kabongo among the PGs here in Chicago. Great athlete but still raw. Strong defender.

Adam Zagoria ‏@AdamZagoria 1h
Cody Zeller to @ESPNAndyKatz on not participating in Chicago: "I trust my agent's advice of not playing this."Will do all testing/interviews

Chris Haynes ‏@ChrisBHaynes 1m
Lottery bound C Cody Zeller out of Indiana says he interviewed w/ #Blazers last night. Vews himself as a PF. Says the interview went great.

We need a big man. Or two.
