Shabazz looks like he'll have a potential ego problem

Mayo had that issue in College as well. For the most part I think he has grown out of it. Of course she still wants to be the man but he knows he is more of a #2 at best.

Mizzou kicking the shiet out of Ole Miss. Phil Pressey is an interesting player, possible second round pick this year. Shooting percentages are god awful yet hes looked like a good shooter today. Probes the defense well and has made some really nice passes, very smooth and under control. Hes tiny and not that athletic, has a poor ast/TO ratio and shooting %'s, certainly talented though.

Marshall Henderson is hot garbage.

I don't mind players having a little swag on the court. As long as they leave it there.

Yeah, did you just find out about him?

Great athlete, lock down defender. Not a good playmaker though and horrible offensively.

He should of went with football where he was an elite high school QB.

No.

I've kept an eye on him since his soph. year when he dominated Florida.

Scuffle at the Ole Miss-Mizzou game! Oriakhi comes out looking like a pussy, but also smart of him to not really jump into the fray.

An Olynyk and Olidipo draft would be magnificent.

Add so much scoring ability and depth. Olidipo is a lock down defender.

I feel bad, b/c I seem only to be coming into this thread to ask about your posts (when they're making me think)....but how do you plan to get a mid-1st rounder for Oladipo and another for wherever you plan on Olynyk ending up (top 10? top 3?)? Unless you think you can trade LMA to PHX for Beasley, Dudley, the LAL pick, the PHX pick and the MEM pick?

Very underrated 2 guard in this draft is Allan Crabbe of Cal.

Such a great group of shooting guards in this class. Allen Crabbe may be the most underrated player in this draft class. Certified baller. Great feel for the game.

I came out of last night with the one thought: How unclutch is Louisville? Six straight last second misses before Notre Dame finally wears them down.

I really hope there is no word like raw or potential or underrated next to our draft pick this year. I want someone who can contribute. Anyone slated in the top 12 should do that

Yeah, I've never been impressed with Louisville. Kinda poopy.

Crabbe is definitely a good one. I'm curious to see how high he is picked.

Taking "NBA ready" or "safe pick" prospects can backfire big time. BPA is the name of the game, prioritizing anything else above that is a disservice to your team.

Otto Porter is this years version of MKG. He's like a swiss army knife.

I think this draft is deep. You can possibly get some real good players with late 1st or early 2nd's. I'd be thrilled Burke, Kantavious Caldwell, Allan Crabbe or Poythress with a late 1st.

You're crazy if you think Burke will be there in the late 1st.

Alfonso "Trey" Burke is definitely a lotto pick, and that's if he declares.

Poythress dropped like a rock -- Early in the season he looked like a top-5 pick.

Avoid Zeller like the plague...

Find a way to get Victor, Carter-Williams, Poythress, Archie Goodwin, and I'm not sold on Trey Burke being a lotto pick yet...

the draft websites must be crazy too.

Chad Ford has Marcus Smart shooting up his draft board.

Btw, who is his new #1 on the big board?

Olynyk's got his own thread... let's keep the talk about him in there.

As far as these draft websites go though, they're all reactionary. ESPN has the inside info, so they wind up being the most accurate in terms of draft positions, but they don't always have the best scouting reports. For them, it's more all about moving players up and down their draft board based on the inside information they receive. DraftExpress is pretty thorough, but they've still got some opinionated guys running the site that're trying to make a name for themselves. NBADraft.Net should really just shut down... they're really becoming laughable.

I used to always use those websites as references, but now I just trust my own opinion over theirs.

What it all boils down to, is that the "experts" just have opinions, no different than you or me. How many people picked Oden over Durant? The only time you can start talking about experts is when they have inside info, but then it's just inside info about other people's opinions. Sports writers are a sham. I've seen behind the curtain and these guys don't know shit. The only thing that separates them from you and me is that they have access. That's it. There's no magical thing that makes them more knowledgeable. If you want an expert opinion, someone like Dr. Jack Ramsay or Phil Jackson or someone who actually has a body of work to draw from. There are GMs with a track record that I would certainly trust, but most sports journalists are no different from the rest of us. They watch, they form opinions, and they have a voice. That's it.
