I admit I don't watch Ross play very much, is he dunking in traffic often or something? Crabbe actually dunks quite a bit on fast breaks even though he doesn't get up super high.

No question.

Edit: #2 is REDIC....

Jumping isn't a stat though and we're talking about stats here.

If you kept up with the tread you would understand that I'm not talking about any stats. I'm talking about style of play. Keep up. But maybe that's asking too much...

Today I learned that Terrance Ross throws it down. God if I had to hear that phrase again in the video...

Ross is 26/26 dunks on the year (regular season and playoffs) while Crabbe was 12/14.

First of all let me say those dunks were impressive. That along with his 3 pt shooting makes his 11 million per understandable in today's NBA. I will be interested in watching him play against the Cavs.

Secondly, 26 dunks on the year really puts things in perspective. He only gets the opportunity to dunk once every 2-3 games......
26 dunks compared to 131 three's........huge difference on how he effects each game.

And while Ross dunks more than Crabbe, Crabbe shoots more two point shots and makes a higher percentage of them as well, so Ross' dunking in comparison to Crabbe really doesn't mean much.

If it isn't someone better than Harkless, Crabbe, Aminu or Henderson I see no reason to bring another player on this position.
I think what we need is another guard, an upgrade in Brian Roberts or Tim Frazier's 3rd guard role. My pipe dream here is MCW
I think we also could use an inside scorer, someone like Boogie or Thomas Robinson

Would MCW really be a good fit? I have not seen him lately. He is a big PG which is good, but doesn't he need the ball in his hands to be effective? And is he a good defender?

We need another guard who can handle the ball, but ideally he also really needs to be able to defend and hit the open shot so teams can't double Dame or CJ. (Whoever he is in with) Is MCW a good defender...?

It would not shock me in the least if Neil scores one or more undervalued players who fit our roster and needs - instead of swinging for the fences with big bids on the established star/superstar FAs.

Okay, I'm swinging for the fences on this and going beyond the Blazers to include some major changes from a few other teams.

My predictions over the next year going into the next post season are as follows:

1st Place.....GS with 66 wins. They don't make any real changes and lose in the conference Finals.
2nd Place...Clippers with 63 wins. They will make a move to improve their bench and will be healthy all year. This will be their best season, but will be bounced in the second round.
3rd Place...Blazers with 57 wins. How? Because NO pulled a rabbit out of his ass and convinced KD to come join the party and win big. KD makes this move because they only win one game againts GS this post season.
4th Place...Minnesota with 54 wins. Thibbs Thibbs Thibbs. He finally gets the cart turned in the right direction and its all about D.
5th Place...Lakers with 50 wins. Fuck the Lakers and Hollywood. With Kobe's money they make a couple moves to compliment their young core and surprise everyone by somehow getting D.Cousins and C. Anthony to join them. Fucking hate them!!!
6th Place... NO with 50 wins. This is the season AD wins MVP and NO makes the jump with AD finally playing in 70+ games.
7th Place...Utah with 48 wins. No major changes sand they are still a main piece away but are now stuff in purgatory with little growth left.
8th Place....Memphis with 47 wins. Conley walks, but they bring in Mozgov to help keep Gasol healthy. Also stuck in purgatory.

This seasons remaining post season:

GS beats OKC 4-1. Durant sees that Aldridge lost after leaving us and didn't do anything. HE then gets smoked by GS in the conference finals and sees the big picture. The best chance of beating GS is to join Portland.
GS beats Cleveland in 7 denying LBJ again. GS goes down as the greatest single season team ever., dethroning MJ's 70 win Bulls. However the majority of the public will always believer the Bulls would take GS.

Next seasons playoffs look like this:

GS sweeps memphis 4-0
Clippers beat Utah 4-2
Blazers beat NO 4-1
Minnesota beats the Lakers in 7

2nd Round:

GS beats Memphis 4-1
Blazers sweep the Clippers

And the series EVERYONE has been talking about since we lost this year.... The conference finals will be the Blazers vs GS. The rematch of this years second round. This will bring life back into the NBA like it hasn't seen in a while as the true David and Goliath storybook ending as we defeat them in 6 on our home court.

NBA finals

We lose in 6 to Cleveland. LBJ finally gets Cleveland a ring...however it will be his only one.

The following season 2017-2018, Blazers will dominate the west, winning the number 1 seed with 67 wins, besting GS by three and ride their home court all the way to a PARADE DOWNTOWN BABY!!!!!!!

Mark it. My wife owns a crystal ball and I inquired and so it will be!!!!

Neither the Lakers nor the Grizzlies will make the playoffs, or as you have pointed out will the rockets...OKC will best the champs, yet fall to Lebron, giving Cleveland it's first ring, and a dust shooting orgasm....the playoff picture will look more like this next year
West
1. Golden State
2. OKC
3. Blazers
4. Spurs
5. Clippers
6. Timberwolves
7. Pelicans
8. Jazz

East

1. Cavs
2. Toronto
3. Boston
4. Bulls
5. Hornets
6. Detroit
7. MIA
8. New York

Portland gets to the western conference finals after beating the Twolves and the Thunder in 6 for a rematch with the whoriers

P.S.

With all of those 50 - 60 plus records the east must really suck next year

You know, I liked it and then unliked it.

Blasphemy to have the Blazers at 3rd!!! ;)

With Simmons/Ingram on board...

Time to poach Dario Saric from that train wreck.

Nice thought, but I think they draft Simmons and keep Saric. Those two would complement each other well at the 3 and 4.

They wouldn't imo. Their skillsets are too similar.
You're right, been a while since I'd researched him. Thought he was more of a 3 and a better shooter for some reason. Seems like his jumper is coming along though.

It always comes down to the jumper for these young draft picks. Even for LeBron when he came into the league from HS. Until they are really consistent at it, they are just another average NBA player. The ones who get really good at it becomes the superstars.

The safe pick is Ingram. Plus I don't want him to go to the Lakers.

Is there anyway to get Omri Casspi?

28yr old, averages 12 and 5 on sick percentages. Above 40% from 3. Decent defender on the wing and swing to the 4 in small lineups. He's the one chemistry bright spot in SAC, but we know they don't give a shit about chemistry. He'll be a FA in 2017, but making only 3 mil in 2016.

Maybe S&T Meyers? Or straight up for Noah?

Give em future seconds and some cash

I know it's Screamin' A. Smith, but he supposedly said he thought Lebron would leave Cleveland if he got them a championship. I wonder if we could even get a meeting with him considering we're Nike town.

At the very least we might want to hang onto that draft pick to see what he does.

sounds like potential or a shaq reebok/penny nike melt down
dame addidas/LBJ nike

Would it be financially possible to sign horford and larry sanders while letting meyers, Henderson, and plumlee(trade for a 1st) go?

They wouldn't imo. Their skillets are too similar.
