Sixers won't give them a first rounder as their are too good - no. 9 or so from Lakers and theirs will be around no. 15.

They could give them a couple of solid second rounders though which might be better value. Might even throw Justin Anderson into the mix.
I was thinking about Blazers.

I was looking at that...CHI just looking to extract some value. Min deal, 36 y/o, only played 273 minutes so far this year due to the broken leg...but maybe coming back soon?

Top 55-protected 2nd? The Mo Harkless special?

Man, some of these things are just too stupid to believe. If Portland wants to cut salary in the above "deal", why don't they stop at step one when they still have two second round picks? At least at that point they have two picks for Ed. Instead, this nitwit has them taking back Johnson in exchange for the picks and a TPE, thereby ensuring that they don't lose any salary this year to avoid the luxury tax. If you want to cut Ed for next year, just let him walk this summer.

And why would PHI send 2nds for another expiring big off the bench? They already got Amir Johnson, Trevor Booker, and Richaun Holmes.

Trading an expiring player for an expiring player.... that saves SO much money!

Jeff Weltman and John Hammond has left no stone unturned with the deadline approaching, including quietly gauging the trade market on Aaron Gordon, league sources told The Athletic.

Gordon’s numbers have fallen back down to earth the last month+, and he’s a pending RFA. I’m not surprised Orlando has put him on the market. He’s a complimentary piece on a good team, but his inflated stats may get him paid like a star.

That being said, I’d love to find a way to get him. A trade centered around CJ wouldn’t work. CJ is worth more and we’d have to take on some of their shitty contracts. Only way it would work is if they included a first, but since that’ll be a lottery pick, I doubt they’d do it.

So here’s what I got:

2018 first, Aminu, Davis, Vonleh for Gordon and Biyombos contract. We’d also have to throw in Layman to make it work financially.

The only problem I see is Gordon's best position is PF and I think Collins is our long term guy there. But they could probably play together too.
