It totally depends on the coach, of course. But it's against the Billups philosophy just to hand things to people because of their rep (at least, I would've thought so).

It's not like you forget how to play.

Not sure how those two compare at all. Bayless won SL MVP by driving to the hoop and either scoring or drawing fouls. It didn’t translate to the league. He never got those calls in the NBA.
 
One thing to keep in mind: Keegan isn’t the normal rookie due to his age.

So while he will arguably look the best in summer league, you’re not really comparing apples to apples.

For instance, it would be like if Paolo/Jabari went to summer league in 2 years from now.

Looked good though. But if Ivey sucks up the joint you can’t really compare until Ivey is two years deep.

Well they both are dominating summer league, that’s how they compare. summer league domination doesn’t mean much.
 
Schmitz loved Keegan as well. Looks like the Kings finally got it right. I don't care who he's playing, that shot is flawless.

It's summer league--bigs usually struggle in summer league because the guards usually suck/are ball hogs.

he missed the same shots today that he hit yesterday. happens. still think he's gonna be a 15+ ppg scorer day 1 in the league, getting closer to 20 if he gets enough touches.

Agree. I could see him putting up 18 and 8 THIS season.
