Maybe not so much by design originally but it sure seems that is what a certain group of individuals wants.
The design of a system is to produce the results it produces. If the system produces poorly educated poor people, it is because the system in place is designed to do that. It is computer programming 101.

If this is a bug in the system, and nobody bothers to change it, it proves the system is still working as intended.

Trump's fans want to hurt others in a "Daddy's home and he has the belt" sort of way. As long as Trump gives them permission to do that, they'll vote for him no matter what.

It’s kind of pathetic that people have pretty much dismissed the fact he is a convicted felon waiting sentencing.
Many people reject the entire premise behind the charges and feel the severity of them is being sensationalized, which to them negates the fact of whether he was found guilty of them or not.
You can make eating ice cream a felony, convict me of it, then when i decide to run for president (announcement to follow) just scream “convicted felon!” over and over, but you can’t expect everyone to take the crime seriously just because of how it is technically categorized.

You should elaborate on what this actually means. Who’s getting hurt and how? And why would they have ‘permission’ to do so in a society with laws?
This sounds like MSNBC-brand “the end is nigh” sensationalism expressed vaguely enough to not actually have to make any sense.

Yeah ... keeping top secret documents and not returning them even when asked is a bit more of an issue that a judicial hit job. Same as shaking down a state for votes in an election he lost.

We're in a bad place when people don't take stuff like that seriously.

Have other people been prosecuted for the same crime(s)?

Were all of those prosecutions political?

Are we talking Vanilla? Chocolate? Or a Neopolitan?

You can make campaign finance fraud, sexual assault, tax evasion, perjury, attempting to steal an election and slander a felony, convict me of it, then when i decide to run for president (announcement to follow) just scream “convicted felon!” over and over, but you can’t expect everyone to take the crime seriously just because of how it is technically categorized.
context...and as to the first sentence, those morons didn't care what he did to begin with.

Trump's demonstrably broken numerous other rules and regulations that he wasn't punished for because the judiciary didn't have the guts to do it and they were worried the optics wouldn't look good even though he clearly broke the law.

He's crooked and lucky he's only on trial for these crimes.

None of it changes the opinion of people who’s minds are already made up and that is really the only point I’m trying to make. I don’t really care to state all the positions I’ve already stated on here many times.

So Vanilla.

YOU FIEND!

General Kelly and General Milley say Trump is a fascist who praises Hitler and has contempt for US service personnel. Media collectively ignore it. Harris agrees and pearl clutching headlines OMG Harris called Trump a fascist!!

So the billionaire owners of the LA Times and Washington Post have told their editorial boards not to make an endorsement for President.

As they should.

All the 'endorsement' stuff is crap. They should present the information and tell people to think/choose for themselves.

But I'm coming to realize that far too many people want to subjugate their thinking to someone else....

Their bodies of work speak much more loudly than an endorsement ever could.

Kind of like people knocking on my door and asking me to support their candidate because why? Because you knocked on my door when the sign says NO Soliciting!

I just sent one away today. I literally have a no soliciting sign on my door. Specifically says we aren't interested in talking to them about politics.

And they still rang the doorbell...

I mostly don't want people coming around trying to sell me their solar panels. But the fact that the sign was up and they didn't listen just annoyed me.
