Yes, okc beats Houston tonight, we win our last two games, okc loosing their last game in Milwaukee and Spurs winning their last game against Dallas. But here is the problem, why should Milwaukee play their best players in their last meaningless game ? Tjey have no reason to do that, i'm sure Milwaukee sends a G-League starting 5 on the court against OKC
oh, yeah. that's a give-in.

4 other players have been warned about flopping this year. NONE of them are named Harden, Westbrook, Paul, James or Draymond Green. The whole thing is a ridiculous joke. I'm not saying Dame didn't flop. But the fact that none of those other players have even been warned makes the whole system laughable.

The other four are DeMarcus Cousins, Patrick Beverley, Joel Embiid, and Dennis Schröder.

Im not sure why OKC is that scary to you. Could they beat the Blazers? Yeah of course. So could any of those teams down there.
I think the Blazers would have a legitimate shot at any of those teams too though.
I'm really scared of okc yes, it's simple, they have two superstars who can kill the Blazers the whole series, Paul George's average against the Blazers has been what? 40 points per game? 45 points per game? We have no one who could stop him. Russell Westbitch has had also good games against us this year, and they have a very good defense with Paul George, Grant, Ferguson Etc. They are pesky players with their long arms and athletic, they would trap the hell out of Lillard. Okc is just a terrible matchup for us just like the pelicans from last year. Paul George would be the 2019 nightmare version of Anthony Davis

I like the matchup because I think Dame plays really well against WB. I think WB can be baited into playing hero ball, and really they're built similarly to how Portland has been in the past. With two guys who can beat you but a bunch of guys, you'd dare to beat you. All the games this year have been close. It's a huge blow to not have Nurk to match up with Adams, but I think the Blazers match up with them and I think OKC can get into their own heads pretty easily.

No tank you bro, those 5 minutes with kanter in the overtime were enough for me to know we should stay the hell out of the way from okc as long as possible, they are our Pelicans this year. It's so dumb to celebrate a possible okc win against Houston just to get a meaningless 3rd seed and to play our worst matchup. It would end exactly like last year

5 minutes, yeah thats a large sample size...

Who could stop Paul George? Who could stop westbrook? How would be able to score against their long and athletic defenders when they take Lillard out of the game? Would you trust Stotts in the Playoffs against them? Nope nope nope. But hey thats just my oppinion

I dont trust Stotts in the playoffs vs anyone at this point. He’s gotta prove it. Thats not the point though.

everything seems to pivot on that Houston at OKC game tonight. If Houston wins, Blazers can do no better than 4th seed. If Houston loses, Blazers still have to win both remaining games to have a shot at 3rd seed, and even then, if Denver loses both of their remaining games, Blazers would still be 4th seed

going back to that Houston at OKC game, it also is big for the 6-8 race, and in that instance, the Utah @ LAC game tonight is huge (and also may impact Portland significantly)

stinking Warriors are only team with their seeding settled...1 seed

Denver will be either 2nd or 3rd
Houston will be 2-4
Portland will be 3-5
Utah will be 4-6
OKC will be 5-8
LAC and Spurs will be 6-8

that's a lot to settle in only 2 nights

No one can stop Paul George, but you can count on Westbrook to stop himself.

My head hurts... amazing that western conference will be decided on the last games.

Depending on how things go tonight, there's a chance that most of the matchups can be locked down.

No no no, you really want OKC in the 1st round? I just dont get it, they would kill us. I see so many blazers fans cheering for an OKC win, just to get them to the 6th. No no no
Well last year we got who we wanted and got swept, so how do you know it wont be the opposite? Theyve been playing much worse lately, and all of our games were close.

Watching the Hornets and Pistons games. So far so good for Hornets. Pistons down 19, Hornets up 2. Blake in playoffs would be fun, but I’m rooting for Kemba.

What is this “we got who we wanted last year” talk? I don’t remember that at all. I wanted OKC or Utah. Pelicans were horrible matchup for us with Jrue as best player in NBA to guard Dame.

If the Pistons choke and miss the playoffs, it most likely makes Blake Griffin very available this summer. So if you want that to happen it's better for them to miss the playoffs.

Why do you have to argue literally every single thing I say?

Most Blazer fans wanted the Pelicans. Just because you didn't doesn't mean the fanbase didn't get who they wanted.

Didn't we decide we don't want him?

Favors and Gibert arent exactly mobile bugs that are food at trapping, and if Gibert comes all the way past the 3pt line, I'm not sure that's a bad thing.

Phone post with greasy fingers?

Link to poll of fan base?

Im going to sound like Im arguing with you please dont take it that way.

My dad and I about this time last year had a similar conversation (he’s no longer an NBA fan, but he kind of pays attention to espn tickers), he thought on paper the Pelicans were a good matchup. I wasnt so sure. I thought Holiday was a problem, I didnt think AD and Gentry would absolutely wreck us the way they did, and it floored me how bad Dame and Stotts looked in that series, I really didnt think it would be that bad.

Anyways, I dont know what matchup I “wanted”, but I do know that I was somewhat worried going into it.

I cant really speak for the whole fanbase, I dont know who the majority wanted.

Bones doesn’t know who the majority wanted either.

I remember most of the 'experts' thought Portland was the better team.
Even Jaynes thought so and said so the night before game 1.
Many people believed AD would be the best player on the court, but Portland was the more rounded team.
So @BonesJones is right.
