Thank God! I was a bit worried there about 10 games ago

They really didn't have a very attractive record vs +.500 teams

Again, it's complete laziness on my part because I don't wanna go back and look at teams records when we played them, but their record against teams +.500 right now isn't awesome

That was the most Tyreke Evans shot in Tyreke Evans' career.

If I'm 13-14 in the west this year, and down by 2 to the Pelicans with the last shot, I am definitely NOT going for 3 for the win.

Word on the street is that Howard suites up for the rockets tomorrow. Could give the home crowd a huge boost. Should be an exciting one.

Another nice OKC home loss. They're now 9 back in the loss column!

9 losses with 54 games left. That means to pass Portland up they'll have to win 10 more games than Portland does, over that stretch (thanks Captain Obvious!).

Not impossible of course, but still difficult.

If Portland goes .500 the rest of the way (27/27), they'd end with 49 wins and 33 losses. To pass Portland, the Thunder would have to win 37 games (a rate of 54 wins per 82). That would be 50 wins for them.

So, my math is based on the idea that OKC has to win 10 more games over 54 games to pass Portland. Not impossible, but definitely difficult.

For example:

If Portland wins 30-24 (55%, or 45 wins per 82) ending the season at 52-30, OKC would have to go 41-13 (a rate of 62 wins per 82).

If Portland goes 35-19 (65%, or 53 wins per 82) ending the season at 57-25, OKC would have to go 45-9 (a rate of 68 wins per 82).

For reference, the Blazers are on pace to win 64 games.

Someone might want to check my math, as I might be off.

He's been playing the last several games. And they've been losing.

I noticed D12 was playing last night for Houston. Is he playing well?

Thunder don't scare me at all.

It probably won't matter but I'd rather the Grizzlies played somebody else in the 1st round. I think in the west that's one of the toughest matchups for the Blazers.

After 27 games...
Kobe stats: 37.2 FG%, 27.4 3FG%.

Kobe is making an effort to show how bad PER is as a stat: 17.2

He's also second in the league in scoring. There's a subset of fans that think that makes someone MVP-worthy

Rondo in Dallas should have them on danger level red. He's fit in real nice so far.

Houston has strengthened its position as the frontrunner to sign Josh Smith, according to Yahoo! Sports. I heard Memphis is another strong team..If Houston gets this done, that could very well be two teams a lock for a top 4 position for HCA in the west playoffs barring no major injury's. I hope Neil has a plan up his sleeve!
