It’s interesting how much Cam Reddish is being brought up by Atlanta fans in the context of Nate McMillan’s departure. (Probably somewhat unfairly)
Very. He was moved last year. Not sure that is fair to a player who was not even there this year?

What are they saying? I have mostly read about Trae and Collins.

Atlanta is well known as an urban playground for young black athletes who are easily distracted...Portland is where players come to work on basketball and avoid those distractions. Lot of temptations in Atlanta that can stunt a young man's career once he gets a bag of cash and hits the clubs. You'll find Dame more at home on his tractor or his boat in Portland than the strip clubs. CJ used to mention it alot.

Not sure where to ask so I will ask here. Are we able to trade the future 2nd's which may or may not convey to us? Like can we trade the rights to them this draft if we want?

Yes, just as they were traded to us. 2 of them are almost entirely fictional (would be an ace dart throw). The pick haul is more realistically 1 first and 1 2nd (since 2 went out in the Tisse trade).

Then those picks still have partial value say 20%-50% of a pick. Trade them this summer. Boom problem solved, **SOME** value recouped.

Some humorous highlights:

“I witnessed Nate McMillan play Solomon Hill over Cam Reddish.”

“We wasted Huerter and Reddish under Nate…”
Huerter... the worst shooter in the three point contest lol

Hmm, I wonder what's more telling about his 3pt abilities... His .382 percentage on almost 6 attempts a game over the season, or one 3pt contest ?

We only do 1 stupid contest to make broad overgeneralizations around these parts.

Yeah, but he'll light us up tomorrow.
Hate to say it, but so true. Dude is lethal when open, and with the Blazers focused on containing Fox and Sabonis, he and Harry Barnes will get lots of good looks.

I'd feel a lot better if we had a healthy Nurk tomorrow.

Reporting had the Blazers trying hard to deal Nurkic at the trade deadline. I think it will be interesting to see how Nurk responds and plays out the rest of the season. He seems to be the sensitive type.

Which might be exactly why they tried and couldn’t move him.

The NBA cap system is set up where over the cap teams are really incentivized to retain their MLE+ players even if they’re not the ideal fit vs let them walk completely. Crazy that Nas and Nurkic are fresh signings both on the outs, seemingly.

Ha Ha Hahahahsaha! Put a full freakin STOP on the conversation. He's right and you all know it to be true!

I’d like to see Meyers come back strong.

I’d welcome him back if he has it together. I’m sure I’d get a lot of heat for this; but Nards would give us veteran depth where we could use it. Shame we didn’t sign him. Wonder how Dame would feel…

How is it right? Bill L was the OG 3D center! He could adjust on D and play like Draymond Green.

Because he substituted brute force and hard fouls in place of a lack of athleticism. He couldn't play like that in modern NBA.

Depends what team he was on.
