Why would people want to match up with us? Our guys made it to second round last year. Warriors and Grizzlies and Rockets were early exits.

Who cares about last year? Last year don't mean shit. The year before last year the Grizzlies were in the WCF and the Warriors took the Spurs to the limit, why don't you bring that up?

Face it, we are weak right now. We're struggling against EVERYONE.

For one, I want the Blazers to be taken for granted come playoff time...I like our team being hungry and under the radar

Easy. The Warriors that advanced two seasons ago had Jarrett Jack and Carl Landry. With their current
roster, they were out in first round.

As for Grizzlies, two things:

1) They had a different coach

2) Grizzlies only made it to WCF because they played injured Clippers and injured Thunder. Once they played healthy team (Spurs), they got swept.

Also, Rockets wanted us last year and look at how that worked out for them.

1. The Warriors are WAY better now than two seasons ago, it's obvious. They've grown, Curry, Thompson and Green are so good now even compared to last season. They aren't the one seed for nothing.

2. Hollins isn't that good of a coach, it's kinda been well documented now with the Nets and the Grizzlies not skipping a beat. Also, the Clippers weren't injured in the playoffs... All their guys were available. The Thunder still had Durant and a hot Reggie Jackson+healthy prime Martin.

Blake Griffin was severely injured but tried to tough it out. Look at Game 6. Paul took all the shots because Griffin had a bum leg. Thunder didn't have Westbrook.

Warriors are doing fine in regular season but they are same roster as last year with a rookie coach. I'd be shocked if they made it out of the first round.

MJ also took time off to play baseball and whiff at curve balls. So he didn't exactly play a marathon career.
Hahaha you think Jordan really decided to take that year hiatus? No way, Stern made him do it because of MJ gambling problems. That's why MJ's dad died.

Um just because they're similar on paper roster wise doesn't mean they're the same team. Teams grow... Look at the Thunder they got beat in the 1st round too, did that stop them from going to the Finals and WCF twice in three seasons?

What about his hiatus between 1998 and his first season with Wizards (2001?)

Not true, Thunder had Jeff Green in 2010 when they lost in first round. They didn't become good until the traded for Kendrick Perkins.

Also, even if Jordan's first hiatus was for his gambling issues, it was still a hiatus.

No, they became good because Durant, Westbrook and Harden grew together... It's the same thing Curry, Thompson and Green are doing.

Fascinating how Kingspeeds rationalization contradicts itself depending on who he is talking about. With one team what matters is what happened 3 years ago, with another it is about what they are like today. It's almost as if he is a time traveler who is confused about what day it is.

Welcome to the year 2015 Kingspeed, we don't know what is going to happen in this years playoffs...only time will tell us that.

MJ said he was burned out and wanted to try another sport. Maybe those highlight dunks did, in fact take a toll. If there were ever two players in NBA history who had get out of foul trouble free passes, it was MJ and Shaq. Their marketing power kept them on the court and allowed them to actually scream at refs and not get T'd up. It was a different era.

Still had a long career. Read why I posted it to riverman's "highlight reel dunk players have short careers"

No kidding. Different criteria for different people at different times to fit different agendas. It becomes unreadable after a certain time.

This is a Blazer forum, people don't have to be factual or realistic. I agree with Kingspeed, fuck other teams, the Blazers are the best!

And shame on some of you for not agreeing.

Portland Trail Blazers will win it all barring an injury to Will Barton.

Mozgov taking over.
That was their best move this season. Mozgov is a legit 7 footer that defends the paint. They don't need a superstar, just a good role player that will do the things Love sucks at

I'll say this KS...the Cavs are crushing the Clips on TNT right now. The best I've seen them play.
